ARC Review: Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley

I’m conflicted about this book. I’m having a hard time deciding what to write about it. I enjoyed the book and thought it was a good story. However there were some things I would have liked to have seen more of.

Shy and Tabby are a great couple. They’ve been dancing around each other for years before they FINALLY got it together!

Tabby is the daughter of Tack, the president of the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Shy has been part of that club for almost 10 years. They’ve known each other for quite a while.

Tabby has crushed on Shy since she was 16. When she was 19 they had HUGE blowup. Shy found out that night exactly what he was missing out on.

Over the next several years they avoided each other, barely spoke and became virtual strangers. Then Tabby’s life is torn apart. Shy ends up being there for her. He becomes her best friend, her rock, her safe haven.

Once the finally become an item, things don’t go that smooth. Their lives are in turmoil, some of it from Chaos, some of it from them, and some from Tabby’s friend Natalie. They fight through and stay true to each other.

Shy lives his life the way he wants. He takes care of Tabby and doesn’t let her take any crap from anyone. Tabby is fierce. She stands up to Shy and doesn’t let him walk all over him. They fight, they argue, the compromise, they make up. They’re awesome together!

While I really enjoyed the story of Tabby and Shy, I was hoping for something a bit more raw and gritty. I guess that was my expectation from a story about a couple in a Motorcycle Club. I would have liked more action from the war with Benito they got sucked into, or maybe we’re going to see more of that in the next books.

Find it on GoodReads!

A bunch of my friends are bananas for anything Kristen Ashley writes. And they really loved this, especially Ty. I can't wait to finally try OtW for myself, just need to catch up on KA's billion other books first. Sorry it wasn't exactly what you wanted, but glad you liked it!

Like Andrea several people I know are wild about Kristen Ashely's books and I've finally decided to try one of them - so I picked this one up yesterday. Hopefully I'll like it
