OH WOW! This is one
disturbing book and it is AWESOME! Red is one series of twists and turns that
will keep you reeling. Just when you think you have it all figured out, you get
thrown another curve ball!
When I started this I was expecting a BDSM story with a
little murder thrown in. What I got instead was a very compelling murder
mystery in the BDSM world. It was FREAKIN' FANTASTIC!
The first few chapters were a little difficult to get
through as they were all about different people. It was difficult for me to
figure out what the connection was. I stuck with it and was rewarded with a
dark, twisted, compelling story. After the connection between all the people
was made, I was sucked into a world that thrives on the basic principle of
SAFE, SANE and CONSENUAL but had been shattered by a sick psychopath.
Gina guides Detective Hanson through her world in order to
find the killer and along the way he found a side of himself he didn’t know
existed, or at least denied. Their attraction for each other created
complications for the case and their lives.
This book was definitely not what I expected when I picked
up. It was much BETTER and gave me
chills.
