Review: Blood Warrior by H.D. Gordon

Oh wow! I’m stunned. I’m reeling from this book. I’m going to have to jump into the next one very soon because I don’t think I can wait to find out what’s happened!

Alexa Montgomery just wants to live a normal life. But her life will never be anything close to normal. She’s the last of her race and everyone is expecting her to save them. But no one knows what they are expecting her to save them from. It’s a mystery for everyone to solve.

Alexa is a warrior and feels such rage at so many things. She has so much trouble controlling that rage, yet at the same time she’s pure of heart. She wants to help people. She wants to set things right.

Then there’s Nelly. I can’t figure out exactly what her role is in all of this. She’s something more, something special, forbidden in this new world they’ve been thrust into. I can’t help but feel she’s integral to fixing what’ wrong in this world.

Jackson is the werewolf. He’s easy going and makes Alexa laugh. He loves her and in her own way she loves Jackson. He’s an enigma to me.

Kaydon. Dear, sweet, hot Kaydon. Drool worthy Kaydon. He keeps doing things to keep Alexa safe and take care of her. But he keeps doing it in bizarre ways. Alexa takes her mother’s words to heart and trusts no one. Even Kaydon. I have a feeling he’s going to end up saving Alexa.

Tommy is the golden boy. Rich, good-looking and his dad is connected. How will he fit into the picture?

All of these characters are wonderful! They beautiful on the outside and the inside. They’re all important in figuring out and solving the problem. The question is what’s the problem? Everything seems perfect. In fact, it’s too perfect.

This story will suck you in from the very beginning and not let you go!
