I fell in love with this series when I first read Where I Belong, because Ben and his “Angel”
Mia just drew me into not just their sexual chemistry but the way that they
were with each other. So when I got the
email from the tour company about a surprise release from J. Daniels and the
opportunity to review it I was excited.
When I found out it was a novella about Ben and Mia I was even more so.
Anyone with kids can relate to Where We Belong. I have two
small children, ages four and almost two and I swear it is like they have this
radar that pings when me and my husband try to spend any alone time with each
other. Yes my children can be little cockblockers
at times, just like everyone’s kids can be.
So I laughed a lot while reading Ben and Mia’s struggle with having some
alone time after months of being cockblocked by their boys. I was like “oh I know the frustration that
can cause”. I loved how even being married for a couple of years and two kids
hasn’t dulled the heat in their relationship and both still want each other
just as much if not more than when they first got together.
Now it wasn’t all happiness.
There are some serious elements as well, some that I am sure all step
parents feel at times. Now I am not
gonna tell you what that means, you will just have to read it for yourself, but
know I wanted to throw down with a certain bitch when I read what I read.
If you are a fan of this series then I think you will love Where We Belong. It was the perfect little glimpse into Ben
and Mia’s marriage and their attempt to never let that intense passion between
them die.
