Christopher Allan Roberts thought he had a promising future; Captain of the football team with the promise of a scholarship to play for Alabama. His high school sweetheart and best friend for as long as he could remember, Amanda, by his side, and the love and support of his family. One night, one mistake changed everything. Chris moves to New York, adrift and alone. A walk one night brings him to the flashing lights, loud music and thrumming bodies at club Berlin. A flyer in the men’s room promises fame and fortune for anyone willing to go on camera and have sex, with another man. Money is money, and how hard could it be, right?
Christopher Allan Roberts becomes Kris Alen, All Cocks newest addition, a gay for pay porn star.
Lincoln Carter is honest with everyone in his life, including his family, about who he is and about his sexual preferences. Linc Larson, the openly bi-sexual gay porn star will do anything with anyone, which pretty much writes his ticket in a versatility charged industry. It’s not his sexuality that interferes with his personal life; it’s his inability to trust.
What Linc wants right now, more than anything, is the chance to do a scene with All Cocks newest acquisition, Kris Alen. Six foot two with Auburn hair, an exquisitely toned and inked up body, Kris Alen is sex personified. Linc doesn’t know if it’s the “I want the shiny new toy” aspect that calls to him, or the distant and wounded expression that haunts Kris’s eyes.
Linc figures out early on that Kris is only working the gay for pay angle that All Cocks brings to his bank account. Can a bi-sexual man with trust issues break down the barriers that Kris has built around himself and help Christopher overcome the painful past he is running from.
Gay for Pay is a gay for you story about two men that will have to come to terms with the mistakes they made in their past, if they want to stick around and have a chance at a future.
I am going to be completely honest with what I say in the next few sentences. When I first signed up to review Gay For Pay, wait, let that title sink into your brain for a minute will you. It’s okay I can wait. Did you read it again? So as I was saying when I first signed up to review Gay For Pay I honestly had a preconceived notion that this was going to be one of those books that were just plain stupid and may end up being a DNF for me. Well let me tell you, I was wrong, so totally and completely wrong with my initial thoughts because Gay For Pay was actually a pretty damn good book.
If you aren’t familiar with the term “gay for pay”, it means a straight man is paid to be gay for the purposes of gay porn. I know for me, gay porn is something that is extremely hot, so if one participant can’t get into character then it ends up ruining the porn. Hey I am not ashamed to say I watch it, hello, I read m/m books, watching the real thing is hot!
Gay For Pay is so much more than just a book about making porn. A person’s identity can shape them. A person’s sexual identity can define them. Sometimes a person thinks they are only gay or only straight, but there are a lot of people who are bi. Gay, bi, or straight, sometimes a person can open your eyes and heart and have you discover you are attracted to another sex as well. This is what happens with Chris/Kris (read the book you will understand why I wrote his name like that). He started out as a gay for pay but his heart wants someone else, and he never thought his heart would be given to another person again, let alone a man. Chris/Kris has some painful demons, ones that will want you wanting to wrap your arms around him and hold him tight while you tell him it will be okay. I cried at his pain. Linc is a fellow porn star for All Cocks and he is instantly attracted to Chris. Linc has also been hurt in his past and was instantly attracted to Chris. I loved how Linc was able to not only get Chris to trust him but how he helped him heal so that he could open his heart once more.
I really loved this book, and I am so glad that I gave it an honest chance and didn’t keep that preconceived notion I had when I started it. I loved all the characters that make up All Cocks, I am very much excited about this series. I think this is going to be one that will only get better and better with each book. I hope that the next book releases soon because I need my dose of a good m/m romance and some super sexy gay porn.
