Sultry Spring Saturdays: Colors of Love by Jess Dee

"Spring is here and our literary wombs are ready to be impregnated by the seed of sexy sultry books."

Colors of Love is DEE-liciously HOT! I needed a cigarette after this book, and I don't even smoke!

Abused as a child, Luke has issues he's not yet come to terms with. As much as he loves Seth, song writer for the band, Speed, Luke's determined not to ruin Seth's life like his was. But one look into Seth's hypnotic eyes, one song...a melody, and Luke succumbs to Seth's every whim. Luke's love runs deep for Seth, but he refuses to be anything more than a friend to him. He's done trying to tell Seth that.

Luke devises a plan in hopes of Seth seeking love elsewhere. Enter Kaz, a beautiful young free spirit of a woman. I instantly liked Kaz the moment I met her. She is down to earth and I like the way her mind works. Kaz is able to read aura's, so when she meets both Luke and Seth after a concert she can tell right off the bat there is something more between them but also that they're both harboring some form of pain. The plans are set into motion, but what is Luke to do when the plan backfires on him?

I am shocked at my response to this book considering I'm not a m/m reader. I didn't know this was a m/m story when I decided to read the series. I enjoyed See You In My Dreams so much that I had to read this one next...and I am so glad I did! I typically stay away from m/m, but this book was fantastic and makes me want to give more authors a shot. I guess it all boils down to the author and how far their words go with me though, and Jess Dee's went far. I LOVED this book! Colors of Love has it all- a story of emotion, sexual tension, unadulterated love, and chemistry. Do yourself a favor and read this story of a love that runs deep and how they overcome obstacles to prove their love for each other. The only issue I had was with Kaz in the end. I know it was a happy ending, but I felt sad for her even though she found where she needed to be. In the end, I LOVED IT!

Wicked Winter Saturdays: Pick Your Pleasure by Jayne Rylon

Baby, it's cold outside! Time to snuggle up with a mug of hot chocolate (or a glass of wine!) and fall into a steamy, sexy book.

When I was a little girl, I read these fabulous books called Choose Your Own Adventure. Basically, you read part of the story, then you had to choose what the characters did. You were generally given 2 choices. Then you flipped to another page and continued the story until you had to make another choice. I spent HOURS reading those books. I had a say in what happened. My decisions decided their fate, would they live, die, get stranded? It was all up to me.

Jayne Rylon has brought that to adults!  Woo Hoo! I now have a say in what happens to the characters. What they decide. Will they? Won’t they? Will it be toys? Will be it be bondage? Or will it be a ménage? ME! I have the power! YES! (sorry, power trip going on here)

In Pick Your Pleasure, we meet Linley. She’s frustrated because the guys she’s been going on dates with are duds. No spark. No fizzle. She asks the chief of her security to get her into the club he goes to, Underground. When she get there, she’s met by two VERY HOT guys. Unfortunately she has to pick one. Or rather, I got to pick one!

Once that decision is made, we travel to various parts of the club and have even more decisions to make. It was fun! I have to admit, I went back and read every single branch of the decision tree. I had to see how every decision turned out. The first time I was making decisions, it was hard! I debated, I hemmed, I hawed, I wavered. Yes, I knew I could go back and read the other branch, but it was the first time, so I had to choose wisely. I had to make sure my first time was awesome. Turns out, it wouldn’t have mattered which one I chose first because they were all HOT and all were FUN!

This was a great read. It brought a little adventure to my book reading and it sexy as hell!

Wicked Winter Saturdays: Under Mr. Nolan's Bed by Selena Kitt

Baby, it's cold outside! Time to snuggle up with a mug of hot chocolate (or a glass of wine!) and fall into a steamy, sexy book.

WARNING: If a book had the power to get you pregnant, then you’d definitely find yourself expecting after reading this novel. Just prepare yourselves for the inclination to lose all articles of clothing at some point.

I don’t even know where to begin when writing this review. First off, I guess I should just go ahead and start by throwing it out there and admitting that I love books revolving around incest. …And no, I’m not harboring a secret crush nor am I having an affair with either my brother or my dad… Although, if Mr. Nolan was related to me like that I can’t promise that I wouldn’t be sexually involved with him. ...On a more serious note though, the reason I'm saying this is because if you consider the taboo subject of incest along the lines of "gross" then you should probably just stay as far away from this book as you can.

With that being said, anyone who knows me knows that I avoid books revolved around sex, sex, and more sex. Those type of novels usually bore me to death; I’ve just never been a fan of books where the story-line fades in the background and becomes a filler to sex… BUT …I’m proud to say that this book worked for me in so many ways. After having an epiphany moment one night and realizing that the smutty side of me was needing something dirty to read, I just figured what better book to start with than one by an author who can be considered a God of all smuttiness.

I’ll be honest here- Since I don’t read too many erotica novels, this one was hard for me to rate. Sex is definitely the main focus in this book- And while it definitely worked and I would have given this book a perfect rating based on the steam factor alone, not having much character development or going into much depth when it comes to the story-line is the only reason this book didn’t get a solid five-stars from me or make it to my “favorites” shelf. With that being said though, that shock of an ending…

…There are no words. The major bombshell that was dropped came as a complete and utter shock to me. It was completely unexpected and I won’t lie… I absolutely loved it. A lot of books these days are just so predictable, so the fact that Selena Kit completely took me off guard with that twist seriously takes true talent.

I need to go ahead and warn all of you guys that this book has a lot… And I mean A LOT of steamy scenes. As a matter of fact, this novel is pretty much full of nothing but sex with every turn of the page- For me though, it was just what I was looking for at the time which is why I think this book ended up being such a huge hit for me. There was quite a bit of girl-on-girl action, among other things but it was all totally and completely hot in a very disturbing something must be wrong with me kind of way.

While this novel had some of the best and most descriptive sex scenes I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading about, (no pun intended) I think it’s only fair for me to go into detail about the only thing I found lacking: Depth and character development. The relationship between the hero and heroine definitely seems like it was based entirely on sexual chemistry only. They both seemed to jump from that, to true love without any explanation... So while the steam factor was absolutely flawless… The story-line and depth definitely took a back-seat role.

This was my first book by Selena Kitt and it most definitely won’t be my last- She is by far worth all of the praise she’s received if this book is anything to go by. With that being said… I need a sequel! The abrupt ending after being exposed to that huge bombshell had me feeling incredibly sad to turn to the last page. I’ll end this review on one final note: Be cautious before going into this book. If you’re looking for a novel that strictly gets you hot and heated, then by all means this is most definitely the book for you! …But if you’re looking for a story with a detailed plot and characters, then this book will more than likely just be a disappointment. …If you’re feeling the need to take a ride on the wild naughty side then I’d highly advise you to dive head-first into this book!

Baby, it's cold outside! Time to snuggle up with a mug of hot chocolate (or a glass of wine!) and fall into a steamy, sexy book.

Lisa Renee Jones is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! Her stories are hot and suspenseful! The men are hot and the heroines are strong without being bitchy!

Lauren works high profile murder cases at the District Attorney’s Office. Royce is an ex-FBI agent who checks into threats made to Lauren as a favor to her dad. When they get thrown together, things get hot between the sheets!

I really liked Royce. He’s a hot alpha male who takes charge of situations and is a little bit (a lot) bossy. When called on his bossiness, he was willing to try to not be so bossy. Since it’s just his nature to be bossy, it never lasted long. Lauren is a strong professional woman who needs a little protecting. She was vulnerable without being wimpy and clingy. Even though she had been hurt before, she was still willing to take a chance on Royce.

Royce and Lauren were both great characters. They were strong and made mistakes. But they were also willing to put their feeling out there for the other person. I wasn’t banging my head in frustration at them. In fact, I was rooting for them and cheering them on.

The suspense in the book was awesome! The threats could have been coming from any number of people and while some people were definite front-runners, it was not easy to figure out. In fact, I was surprised by who was the guilty party.

This is a great beginning to the series and I look forward to reading the next ones!

There are so many wonderful words that can be used to describe this wonderful story. It’s a mystery, suspenseful, erotic love story between a Dom and his sub. Brice is a homicide detective trying to figure out who’s killing the single women of New York. Terryn is Brice’s new sub and he desperately wants to keep her safe.

This was a wonderful love story between Brice and Terryn. Surrounding that story is the mystery of the serial killer. Brice is assigned to the cases and he’s determined to find the psycho and put him behind bars. Terryn, unfortunately, knows all the victims and is being crushed by her grief. Brice helps her through that grief. At the same time, he’s teaching Terryn what it means to be his submissive. While Terryn is a new subbie, the story doesn’t focus on Brice’s training of her. Instead it focuses on their love story and time together.

The connection between Brice and Terryn is strong. Part of that is the threat that comes to Terryn and her friends. Brice is a Dom and a cop. He feels the need to protect those around him. He keeps Terryn close and keeps her busy! The scenes between them are hot and sexy!

Lainey Reese managed to write a hot erotic story and a wonderful mystery all in one. I’m loving this series and I can’t wait to read more. I think we have met the next Dom to get his story. I hope so, cuz he was HOT in this story, so I can only imagine how hot he’ll be in his own story!

Baby, it's cold outside! Time to snuggle up with a mug of hot chocolate (or a glass of wine!) and fall into a steamy, sexy book.

What in the FUCK did I just read?

Did I read about a man named Horse who's hung like a horse? Yes.

An Alpha bad ass mofo biker? Yes.

A heroine named Marie who doesn't know her way in the biker world but somehow becomes a badass herself. Yes.

Did I get so caught up in the story and characters that when it ended I had to use my left hand to stop my right hand pointer from sliding the page on my kindle cause my brain didn't connect to said pointer that the book ended? Yes.

Did I love it? You bet your sweet butt I did!

This book is not only about Marie and Horse. It's also about family and their family dynamics.

Marie has her problems with soon to be ex husband, her brother and her relationship with her mother who's in jail. Then there's Horse with his biker family, The Reapers, and their lifestyle. We get to meet some of them and their old ladies and sweet butts. They're funny, serious and love to have a great time. There's also a heartbreaking story with one couple that did bring tears to my eyes. Each character brings the story together either with their stupidity, personalities, betrayals or bantering.

We do get both Marie and Horse's POV's, which I enjoyed. Their chemistry is instant and Marie is hesitant on their first encounter, leaving Horse with a case of blue balls. When they finally come together and when they get together, it's explosive.

There's rough sex, sweet love making, angry sex, anal play which leaves to anal sex and voyeurism. There are some situations that some readers might find cringe worthy, but the author did a well job with said situations. The story flows perfectly that you do not want to leave the Reaper world.

Loved the epilogue. Loved it!

Favorite lines/moments:

"So why are you called Horse?"
"Cause I'm hung like one," he replied, smirking.

Only my mother would end up finding love by trying to run over two cops. Clearly, John Benson was an idiot.

"Fuck, this is gonna piss you off and then you aren't gonna let me stick my dick in you," he muttered.
"Do you have to be so crude?" I snapped.
"Have you met me?"

Hid dick approved. It wanted to squeeze between those boobs and shoot out a pretty pearl necklace for her to wear.
It's crude but I loved that line.

"Jerk."
"Hot piece of ass."
"Don't call me that!"
"I was referring to myself," he replied

"She'd gone all Pulp Fiction on us, ready to defend you by killing all of us if she had to. Crouched over your body like Wonder Woman. Gives me a boner just thinking about it."

"Jesus Christ...Thank fuck for that," Picnic said. "Nope, not Jesus, just a man," Horse whispered. "Although when women see my dick for the first time, they've been known to fall down on their knees and worship me."

"Marie Caroline Jensen, will you do me the honor of being my permanent bitch?"
I smacked him on the side of his head as he burst out laughing...

*I'll be pimping this book for a long ass time*
