I have never said I was the most mature reviewer, but hey if you can’t giggle at that then I don’t know what to tell you.  Anyways, I should make sure you understand that this is a serial, so there are cliffhangers until the book completes itself, but before you get your panties in a twist about it the remaining parts of the serial are releasing very quickly (the dates are listed lower in the post) which makes waiting not a big deal people. 

This review is only going to cover the first part, this is where the future step siblings meet, although at the time they have no idea who each other is when they meet up for a hook up. Jai is in town for the upcoming wedding and Emma is a college student.  Emma’s best friend sets her up on a dating website and that is how they meet.

Now this is short because it is only the first part but it is really short, while we are introduced to Jai and Emma and the hook up that is about all that happens in this first part. Trust me the chemistry between them is smoking, but we don’t get a real chance for us readers to feel their connection yet.  I am looking forward to the rest of the parts to see exactly how these two are going to not only deal with their attraction but if they can get past the whole step sibling issue.

Twisted Lies book one is the first installment in the Twisted Lies serial.  As I have stated before I have no issue with a serial series, sometimes I just want that quick read to break up the continual cycle of long books I tend to read.  I go in knowing that there is a cliffhanger so I am not upset and I know there will be another part coming up very soon.  Twisted Lies was no different for me.  It gave just enough information and background that you are still left wondering what truths are hidden and what lies will be twisted to give the liar the upper hand.   

I am intrigued by Core and his need to get to an enemy by using Sin and her business to his gain.  Sin also has me on edge because of her attitude, temper and overall feisty take no shit attitude.  I loved that about her. I also have a feeling that Core is going to surprise us more than once while this plays out.  There is nothing good that can come out of these games and lies, or could there be?  I for one am anxious to see what will happen next.

Overall, Twisted Lies was a good start for the serial.  I do wish we would have had a bigger glimpse of the time lapse for Sin but that may be addressed in the next installment so I will be looking for that.  I have high hopes that Core is going to be one hell of a bad boy who will have us wanting to submit to his commands.

If you are looking for a sexy as hell beginning to a serial, then Leather & Lace is one that will leave your panties wet and needing to know what will happen next.  I never have had issues with serials, I know some readers don ‘t like them or like to wait until the entire serial is released before starting but this is one that you shouldn’t wait to read.  There is enough sexiness, drama, and a little bit of mystery that while it leaves you with the feeling of I need to know more right now, you have gotten enough of a taste to wet your appetite to make you go back for a second bite.   

Harley and Colt have chemistry from the start, you just know that when they come together things will be dirty, and explosive.  But there is more than just the chemistry between these two.  Colt is there for her when the rest of the MC isn’t.  We aren’t told what exactly happened to send Harley to prison for three years but we get enough hints to think she may have been set up and when you find out who possibly could have done that you want to knock him on his ass once more.

I am not sure the exact schedule on when the next installment will be released but I pray that it is soon.  Like I said, it makes you want to come back for more.  I want to know what will happen between Colt and Harley, also what is Harley’s past about.  There is also something about Colt as well that has me questioning his true motives.  So please Ms. Fredericks. If you are reading this review, which I hope you will, please get us more Harley and Colt really soon because I am drooling for that second bite big time.

Before I even start my review I want you to know that Me is a serial and my review is only for part one.  So keep it mind that it is a very quick read, it will end in a cliffhanger and it at this time does not have a HEA.

Pretty much from the first few words I was hooked.  What isn’t there to like about a girl who wants her older brother’s best friend?  Kennedy knew that she wanted Beckham and had a plan on how to achieve getting him into her panties so to speak, but when he puts on the brakes and essentially breaks her 16 year old heart to say that she didn’t want anything more to do with him is an understatement.  Skip ahead a couple of years and now Kennedy is starting college and guess who transferred there as well?  You guessed it, Beckham.  One night things get super intense and then he backs off yet again, next thing we know Kennedy is possibly in trouble and that is how we are left off. 

With that cliffhanger I was like noooooo, I want more now but sadly we have to wait.  Now it seems like you wouldn’t be able to become that invested in such a short time but honestly I was.  The author has done a great job getting you invested in a short amount of pages.  I have a feeling the next parts to this serial will be better and better.  I am anxiously awaiting the next installment just to see where this possible relationship may go.

I don’t know about all of you, but I know I have done some stupid shit when I have been drunk.  I have drunk text, drunk dialed and drunk Facebooked but I have never drunk blogged.  Thank the Lord for that one because could you imagine what I would write?  I don’t want to even want to think about the trouble I could stir up with that one.  Having someone else do it though, that is some funny shit right there.  That is exactly what happens when Abbie comes home after a bad date with Toby, who just happens to work in the same office as her.  Let me just say, I was feeling sorry for poor Toby myself, well after I stopped laughing at Abbie’s blog post. 

Toby really like Abbie and was pissed when he read the blog and decided that she needed to pay.  He plots with his best friend and roommate Parker to break her heart.  Can you just picture in your head how bad this can turn out?  The saddest thing is, is that Abbie really does like Toby and tries to make things right but only ends up making Toby hate her more.

Going Viral is the first part of a serial.  It is a quick, funny, and sort of a PSA about not blogging while drinking.  I immediately went out and bought the second installment because it really is addicting.  I don’t know how many parts to this serial there will be but I want the rest right this very second.  Don’t let the fact that this is a serial keep you from reading it because it doesn’t feel like one when you are reading.

Okay this is going to be short and sweet because it is a novella.  First of all since it is a serial we are forewarned that it will end with a cliffhanger and even with knowing that I may or may not have cursed loudly when it ended.  Now what I really thought was interesting and different than other books or serials I have read is that all the interactions between Cam and Sharp without them ever being face to face and that, to me at least, is what makes this unique. 

Be prepared to have your emotions go on a roller coaster ride and want to read the first volume in one sitting, it is only about a hundred pages or so.  I honestly can’t wait to see what the final volume will be like (I have volume two already read and my review for that will post later on).  Give this one a try, like I said it’s unique and will leave you wanting to know what happens next.

I am curious to see what the next volume will bring for Evan James and his at times painful addiction to all things sex.

“Come here.” 

Evan James crooked his finger at the blonde currently shimmying back into her minuscule, tight, black dress. The same one she’d worn last night that had called like a siren’s song to his cock in the middle of the dimly lit club.

Brooke: Most of mine have to do with people being glued to phones in public, whether it’s during a movie or live theatre, at dinner with friends, or while trying to have a one on one conversation. No one’s in the moment anymore.


4. Favorite male body part?

Brooke: Eyes, always. Can height be a body part too? Because I hate being taller than the guy all the time.

Ella: Nice, broad shoulders.


5. Do you believe in love at first sight?

Ella: No. I think you can find someone extremely attractive, but to love a person, I believe you need to know them.

Brooke: No way. To love someone, you need to love all of them, even the ugly parts they don’t want you to see. And at first sight, they definitely aren’t showing off those flaws.


6. Sex on the first date?

Brooke: For my friends? Absofuckinglutely. I love hearing about it afterward. ;) But for me, probably not. I’m much shyer than I let on.

Ella: No. And not because I’m a prude, I just never have.


7. If you can be any fictional character for a day, who would you want to be?

Ella: Elizabeth Bennett on her wedding day (and night) to Mr. Darcy.

Brooke: Ohhh, good one, Ella. I’m gonna go total potternerd and say any character in Harry Potter. For the butter beer and magic spells, of course.

Brooke: Dear Santa, I’ve been really good for the last twenty minutes that I’ve been writing these answers, so let’s just focus on that, shall we? Ps – I’ll leave you dark chocolate bacon cupcakes instead of stale cookies this year if you put our book in everyone’s stockings.
