Blog Tour: Tainted Deception By Aleya Michelle

Ivy Maisen thinks she knows exactly what type of guy Chase Hudson is — billionaire, extremely good looking, cocky as hell, and a guy that women salivate over...
But looks can be deceiving...

Underneath the tuxedo, luxurious demeanor and smooth character is a bad boy covered in tattoos, piercings, the lead singer in a band, and he owns three of the clubs that Ivy frequents.

Oh and he rides a Harley...
Will Ivy finally open her eyes and allow herself to see the real Chase or will she reject his alter-ego and refuse his advances again and again?

When desire is tainted with deception and lies, does that person become less desirable?
Could love be the one thing powerful enough to push them past the deception and down to the real person underneath the facade?

When trying out a new author it is always a gamble.  What I mean by that is sometimes you find a winner, and sometimes you lose big time.  Well this time I found another winner!  Tainted Deception by Aleya Michelle was a winner for sure.  I mean hello what is not to love?  We have a rockstar billionaire!  A double whammy if I may say in the book boyfriend department.  I want a Chase/Chaser (read the book you will understand what I mean) of my very own!  Move over Ivy I am willing to fight you for him!

I am not going to divulge into the entire storyline because I want you all to just go and pick up this one and find out for yourself why Tainted Deception will have you not only wishing for a Chase of your very own but will remind you to never judge a book by it’s cover.  You never know what you may find under a tuxedo, it could be a tattooed rocker, who ends up the perfect man for you.  Make sure you have added this one to your TBR lists, I think you all will end up loving it.

Blog Tour: Coming To Hale By Marie James

The only time she trusted someone with her heart, she was just a girl; he betrayed her and left her humiliated. Since then, Lorali Bennett has let that moment in time dictate her life.

Ian Hale, sexy as sin business mogul, has never had more than a passing interest in any particular woman, until a chance encounter with Lorali, leaves a lasting mark on him.

Their fast paced romance is one for the record books, but what will happen when Ian’s secrets come to light? Especially when those secrets will cost her everything she spent years trying to rebuild.

This is a standalone contemporary novel. The next book in the Hale series is Alexa and Garrett’s story: Begging for Hale.

Recommended for readers 18 and up due to strong language and explicit sexual content.

Holy. Hot. Sex. On. A. Stick.  Coming To Hale was one smoking hot read.  I’m not going to even try to lie.  I went searching for my husband the second I finished reading, and thank god the kids were asleep because if I would have had to wait I am not sure I would have survived.  Can you die from being horny?  I’m not sure but I wasn’t taking the chance.

You never know when you will meet or possibly just see the one person who will ignite your heart or soul.  You can meet when you are children, or in college or at a laundry mat.  Cupid’s arrow doesn’t discriminate when love strikes and why would it?  The chemistry between Ian and Lorali was explosive.  Lorali had been hurt by her ex-boyfriend but that didn’t stop Ian, he kept at it and wasn’t going to give up.  I think I found a new book boyfriend and his name is Ian!  I just really liked everything about this book, there isn’t one thing that I can easily say didn’t work for me.  I loved the sexiness, the humor, just everything!

I hit ARC gold with Coming To Hale, I had just had another run of bad luck reading and went in with the mindset of this will probably be another one of those meh books for me, but I was blown away.  For a debut , this one is damn good, it shows the talent that this new author has and, I for one will be keeping an eye on Ms. James and her books because I have a feeling that Coming To Hale is just a hint of what she can do.  I want the next book right away, so Ms. James if you are reading this you can just go ahead and sent it my way, I won’t tell ;)

I can feel every soft inch of her body, a sharp contrast to my hard muscles. Her eyes are no longer hooded; they stare up at me with…anticipation? No. Fear. She’s afraid of me. Too aggressive Ian, take it down a notch.

“Don’t,” I command.

“Don’t what?” she whispers, her voice trembling

“Be so disrespectful of yourself.” I tell her.

“Just stating the obvious.” Her eyes are turning from fear to more of annoyance. Lorali my feisty girl!

I gaze down at her, fighting a losing battle, knowing I have to taste her or I’d not make it through the night.

“I think the only thing obvious about this situation is how much I want you,” I say, bending my head down to whisper in her ear. “My body is aching for you, Lorali. I want you so bad.”

“I think you’re playing some sort of game, and frankly I don’t appreciate being the object of it,” she huffs, stiffening her spine and glaring back at me.

“I can assure you this is no game for me, Lorali, although you do seem to take pleasure in denying me.” It’s my turn to grow frustrated at her. Who does she think she is putting words in my mouth, questioning my intentions?

“It’s a game to you. Find the most common person here; seduce her, then walk away, all the while laughing about how you were able to get some commoner so hot she’d drop her panties for you. You don’t want me; you want the thrill of the power that it gives you.” The irritated look on her face is increasing my annoyance.

“I don’t want you? Tell that to my cock,” I growl as I grind my erection against her.

She doesn’t even know me, how does she have such a distorted opinion of me? It may take some time, but I’ll show her that I’m not some sort of womanizer. I bend my head down further, breathing in her scent. Mmm. Lavender. Not able to deny myself a second longer, I brush my lips down the column of her neck, pausing briefly over her pulse point. I can hear her sharp intake of breath.

I pull my head back and focus on her beautiful, pouty lips, only briefly denying myself the exquisite way I know she’ll feel and how sweet her lips will taste. Having waited as long I can, I lean in, fully ready to take her mouth, simultaneously trying to talk myself down as to avoid attacking her like a rabid animal. I brush my lips against hers, using every ounce of restraint in my body.

“Stop,” she whispers, her breath ghosting against my lips.

“I can’t,” I growl as I crush my lips against hers.

Blog Tour: Have I Told You by F.L. Jacob

Warning: There is a rape scene and attempted rape scene in this book.

There are many things I like about Have I Told and there are some thing I didn’t like. It really was a mixed bag for me. So, for this review, I’ll just run through things as they hit me and see where we end up!

The concept of Have I Told You is one that I like. Uber-hot, Uber-rich, young business man takes a liking to a college student. He pursues her, wins her, life goes on. I like this concept. It’s the fairy tale, the white knight whisking the princess off into the sunset for a little HEA. Who wouldn’t like that?

When Caston saw Sabrina dance, he became enthralled with her. So much so, it actually became a bit stalkerish. When Sabrina found out, she was mad at first but then forgave him. Their initial meeting (not at the dance recital, it was actually month later) was very sweet. Caston came to Sabrina’s rescue and whisked her away someplace safe. It was at this point I got a very Fifty Shades of Gray feeling to the book. This feeling continued for a bit then went away. While I had that feeling at the beginning, it disappeared in the middle. Then, toward the end, that feeling came back.

In the beginning Caston was very alpha male and set out to protect Sabrina at any cost. I loved it. Then later in the book, he became co-dependent on Sabrina. The co-dependency came across as whiny to me. I couldn’t see the alpha-male that Caston started out as. He seemed to disappear before my very eyes.

I became very frustrated with Caston as well. He had plenty of opportunity to tell Sabrina about Beverly but he kept putting it off. This is information she needed in order to protect himself and her, yet he kept putting it off. It was very frustrating to me.

My other frustration came in with the dialogue. The conversation themselves worked very well and carried the storyline. However, there was a limited use of contractions and so the dialogue felt very stiff and formal at times. I ended up reading certain conversations over again and inserted in my own contractions to make it flow.

I loved the flip between Sabrina and Caston. It worked very well for this story and was easy to follow. It also added in the extra depth of knowing what was going on with each of them. There were only a couple of places where we back-tracked in time when flipping POVs. However, those few times worked and it didn’t create any redundancy for me.

The steamy scenes between Caston and Sabrina were really good. They were hot and lent themselves to the storyline. My only problem was I felt like they had sex so much, I don’t know when they talked and go to know each other. So, that kind of deterred me a bit.

Now, I’m not real big on F/F scenes. In ménage situations I like for there to be two males and 1 female and straight F/F is not my thing. That being said, there is a scene between Sabrina and another female that is so totally hot! It takes place on a dance floor and OMG! Then later we have a scene with the same female and Sabrina in an airplane along with Caston and another guy. OMG! That was scorching hot. Didn’t matter is was a LOT of F/F interaction, it was HOT!

We’re left with a cliffhanger at the end of this story. I will be reading the next one because I want to see what happens. In spite of my problems with part of the story, I did enjoy the concept and overall storyline. I’m invested in these characters and I want to know what happens!

I am a mommy of two, wife to an amazing man, and full time employee. Life is crazy and my love for reading had fizzled over the years but thanks to a wonderful group of ladies that I met last year I started reading again. Their love for books turned me on to many great writers who I would have never discovered if I hadn't started reading again!

I started writing for them. They brought out my love for writing that I haven’t seen in years. Starting this process was tedious and nerve wrecking, but my lovely ladies and my fabulous husband have inspired me to take my love for writing to the next step.

Review: Belong to You and Made for You by Vi Keeland

Belong to You is the wonderfully romantic story of Jack and Sydney.

Sydney and her fiancé have broken up. So, Sydney and her best friend Sienna go on the honeymoon. While on the honeymoon, they meet Jack. Syd and Sienna decide Syd needs a fling with a stranger to get past Michael and get on with her life.

I loved this story. It was romantic. It was sweet. It was filled a little bit of drama, but not too much. Sydney is learning to trust again after being betrayed by Michael. She has some issues to work out, but nothing gargantuan. It’s normal, everyday people stuff. Jack is learning to be in a relationship. He’s never been in one. What I found humorous was Jack was better at being in a relationship than Sydney! And Sydney had been in a relationship before!

There were some things about this that were predictable and some things I wasn’t expecting. Overall, though I really liked it! It made for a great read and reminded me why we like romances so much.

One that was not predictable to me was the ending! It was the PERFECT ending. I couldn’t have imagined something better. It showed how much Jack loves Syd while giving Syd what she needs to find her way! PERFECT!

Made for You picks up right where Belong to You leaves off. Syd is off to tour with Sienna. Jack is letting her go as he knows it’s her dream. He doesn’t want to let her go, but he knows he needs to if he wants to keep her.

On the tour Syd and Jack run into various problems that would challenge a couple that was in the same city. But being in different countries and thousands of miles apart puts a strain on their relationship.

This was another sweet story from Vi Keeland about two people finding their way. Jack and Syd are together even if they aren’t in the same country. Jack continues to be his same sweet and overbearing self. Syd takes it all in stride and they work on it.

Once again I really liked this story. It was sweet, passionate and the couple were amazing together. They have amazing chemistry. They also show us how couple should be together. Things aren’t perfect, but they deal with it. They show each other how they feel and they don’t let others get in their way.
