Release Blitz: Revelry By Carmen Jenner

Cooper Ryan is living the dream. Between the parties with rock royalty, booze, groupies and performing to crowds of thousands with his band Taint, life seems pretty sweet. There’s just one thing missing: the feisty little red-head that took his baby and ran off with his heart. Throwing himself into music is the only thing keeping him sane.

Until a run-in with a nonplussed, package-wielding PA throws everything off balance.

Ali Jones is having a craptastic life. Her grandmother died, leaving her homeless, penniless, and alone, and her boyfriend left her for a tramp who takes her clothes off for money. That’s why when she lands her dream job at a record company it seems like it’s too good to be true.

Because it is.

Slapped with an ultimatum, Ali must decide if facing the horror of the unemployment line is a fate worse than going on the road with four rowdy rockers hell-bent on making her life misery.

He’s adored by millions.

She’s not even loved by her cat. Can they ignore their hatred long enough to survive the tour from hell? Or will their chemistry force everything to come crashing down around them?

Carmen Jenner is quickly becoming a must read author for me.  I haven’t read all of her books yet, but the ones I have I have loved and Revelry is my newest favorite book by Ms. Jenner.  It has rock stars, alpha males, a love triangle, is hilarious and has some of the hottest sex scenes I have read in a while, like have you squirming in your heats reach for your significant other hot.  Did I mention the dirty talk?  No? OMG the dirty talk was oh so dirty and yeah I will just keep it at that.  I am not going to give anything away because I am afraid I will spoil something but just know this it is killing me to not write a long review detailing each and every thing I loved about this book.  Hence, this is going to be short and sweet.

If you love a rock star book, then read Revelry.  If you love an alpha-hole Hero, then read Revelry.  If you love the drama and angst that surrounds a love triangle, then read Revelry.  If you love a book that will have you laughing your ass off one minute and then reaching for some sexual healing the next, then read Revelry.  Did I make my point yet?  If you haven’t gotten the blatant hints yet I want you to read Revelry today!

Excerpt

My vision is partly obstructed by Ali, but the sight of her head bobbing as she takes him in her mouth is all I need to know what’s going on. Levi meets my gaze across the limo. There’s gloating there—that much is obvious—but there’s also understanding. When you spend as much time together as we do, you come to know your bandmates pretty well. For all his talk, he’s not as big of a douche as he claims to be. He may not ever sleep with the same woman more than once—with the exception of Ali, I guess—but I know he’s not immune to the loneliness our lifestyle creates. It’s strange how you can be adored by millions and yet completely alone all at the same time.

He slides his hand into her hair and closes his eyes, throwing his head back against the seat.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck,” he whispers, and then he gathers her hair to the side and shifts her body so that my view is completely unobstructed. I watch as she works her hands up his shaft in time with her mouth. He doesn’t attempt to fuck the back of her throat and make her choke on it, the way we both had that first night we fucked her. Instead, his touch is gentle. Reverent.

It makes me crazy, and hot as fucking hell. I shift uncomfortably, adjusting my cock within my jeans. I don’t make a move towards them, though I want to. I want to bury myself inside her and mark her as mine, but at this point the lines are so fucking blurred it doesn’t matter whom she belongs to. Him. Me. The both of us, or neither one.

I lean forward, taking a glass from the shelf and a crystal decanter filled with amber liquor, and I pour myself a drink, and then I slide back into the leather to watch.

“Play with yourself, Red,” he whispers.

“No.”

“Do it,” I say, and she turns around to glare at me. I can’t tell if she’s disappointed I’m not joining in, or if she forgot I was even here.

“I don’t want—”

“Why are you suddenly so embarrassed?” I say sharply, swigging back more of the scotch than I should.

“I’m not embarrassed. I’d actually rather that you joined in.”
“I’m watching,” I say, eyeing her coolly over my glass. She scowls at me a moment and then she kneels up, steadying herself with one hand on Levi’s thigh. She wriggles her skirt up over her hips and bends over. Everything is on display as she takes him in her mouth again. I close my eyes, not wanting to watch her on her knees in front of him, her head bent low, her full fuck-me lips wrapped around Levi’s cock. I feel as if I’m on a ride that’s spinning out of control and I can’t find a way off. I can’t make it stop. And I so badly want it to stop.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Surrender To Me by Ashley Piscitelli

Becca has no interest in meeting guys, all her life she has been judged by the actions of her mother and refuses to add to what people already believe to be true.  That is until she lends a hot guy a hand and agrees to go out with him on a date.  When she learns that he just isn’t some random guy, but a rockstar she isn’t sure if she should try to pursue anything with him.  She knows that what she feels for Luke is unlike anything else she’s ever felt before.  Can he be the one to break through her walls and own her heart?

Lucas can’t believe his luck when the girl who helps him out doesn’t realize who he is at first and agrees to go out with him.  She is everything he never knew he wanted, because let’s face it he has money, fame and no shortage of willing women.  She is special and he knows it from the minute he meet sher.  He is living out his dream of being a rockstar, but when that dream changes to include Becca will they be able to make it work or will their different lifestyles get in the way?

Becca and Luke moved quickly into their relationship, after one date they begin to spend all their time together.  Becca is uncomfortable at times with Luke taking care of her and tends to fight it when sometimes it was ridiculous to even do so.  Becca had serious trust issues when it comes to men, she hasn’t seen the good side to them thanks to how her mom earned the reputation that she has.  Luke was patient with Becca, he wanted her to be in his life and knew it from the first date.  For him, she is something special, something worth treasuring because she isn’t with him just for his fortune and fame.  Other people in their lives try to sabotage their relationship, but when they finally succeed in doing so I was pissed at Luke’s reaction and how Becca was as well.

Surrender to Me was a quick enjoyable read, I liked it.  I really wish that it had been longer so that it didn’t seem so rushed at times and that Luke and Becca’s relationship could have been further developed and more solid.  Sadly, for me it fell into the same rut of rockstar meets girl, wants girl, quickly develops relationship with girl, is an asshole to girl, then makes it up to girl and everything is ok.  That being said, I still really enjoyed it and want to continue reading about Luke and Becca in the next book.

Naughty Nooner Review: Wicked Beat by Olivia Cunning

Eric Sticks is officially one of my top ten book boyfriends of ALL TIMES, and his book, "Wicked Beat" is one of my absolute favorites of 2013. This is the bittersweet taste of Sinners on Tour since it’s the last one in the series (through chronologically it’s the fourth).

See, loving a rockstar is not really easy and even more a rockstar like Sticks; who is not only a troubled man with a "slight" sexual complex, but also a musical genius who doesn't take credit of his own hard work. That’s mostly why I fell madly, deeply and stupidly in love with all 5 Sinners since the beginning. All of them have a special charm and kick and Eric ranks high in just that: being a charmer.

On the other hand, Rebekah Blake is a fighter, a superb kick ass fighter who not only won a dreadful cancer battle, but also is trying hard to prove herself as a certified soundboard operator in a testosterone filled environment, working hard to prove to Sinners (and the whole crowd) what a woman can do a man’s job just the same or even better. She landed on the Sinners tour bus, after her brother Dave was left paralyzed in a previous accident which I’m pretty sure you may remember from Hot Ticket; and since he can’t go back to work until he is fully mobile again, his baby sister Rebekah just suits the job. Her next goal is to make a heavy metal band like them sound out of this world, so since day one, she’s done nothing work her ass off.

Oh, but I forgot to mention: Also since day one she started lusting for Eric Sticks.
Well, no, scratch that. She had LUSTED (even before day one) for Trey Mills, who she considered her ultimate fantasy man. What she doesn't know though, is that Trey has his own philosophy when it comes to lust and hooking up with hot women (and men) and Rebekah can't help but feel a little bit disappointed when she realizes her fantasies can’t (will not) be fulfilled with Trey. Oh but wait!  Eric Sticks is not that bad looking and of course, he can serve as a fantastic substitute until she overcomes her sexual frustrations and Trey finally decides to take the bait. (Not!)

Eric on the other hand DID lust after her since day one.
We all know Eric. He's the musically gifted voyeur drummer who enjoys live porn.

And we ALL love Eric just being Eric.

What we possibly didn't know is that Eric is a very sweet and caring man who suffers something millions of men suffer across the planet and the fact that Olivia Cunning decided to include this in the storyline just makes it (in my opinion), a lot more credible and real. Many men all over the world (I dare to say MILLIONS) suffer from this as well, and to be quite honest, I’ve never read a book about an absolutely hot male character who struggles with this particular issue. Which one? You may ask, well, I won’t spoil it for you! Ha! Read it and you will find out.

I think this story is not only about finding a HEA, but it has to do a lot more with legit concerns in people’s life, struggle with finding the perfect sexual connection and dealing with old fashioned family traditions.

We see a lot more of Eric as a man with a remarkable talent, a desire to become somebody in life after he had basically nothing but his willingness to learn music. We meet Rebekah, who besides being Eric’s perfect match, also shows everybody (including her mother) that her choice of career and lifestyle is what she is sticking with and she intends to shine as bright as the highest star in the skies to prove herself.

Eric and Rebekah’s journey seemed to be a little bit predictable from the start, but suddenly presented the most perfect twist for a marvelously well written hardcore love story like this. I have to give Mrs. Cunning a lot of kudos for making this an intense ride full of laughter, steamy make out sessions, raunchy sex and friendship bonds that only demonstrates her complete mastership of hot erotica writing.

Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway: Kiss Me Like You Mean It by Mahalia Levey

One gigantic mistake threatens to bring Carlie Steven's world crumbling down. Everywhere she turns she's faced with reminders of the drunken moment leaving her friendless and expelled from her Ivy League College. With Jackson out of the country singing for the troops, his empty home will give her the breathing room she needs while coming up with a game plan to fix her situation.

Playing guitar used to be enough for Jackson Laurent. For years he's played the part of not giving a fuck. Too many one night stands in the bag leave him wanting what his two friends have found. With only a handful of shows left on the tour, his mind wanders to the off limits Carlie Stevens. For years, he’s denied the brewing attraction. When he finds she’s taken up residence in his home. He may have the in he’s wanted for too many years to count.
Carlie was the good girl who made a stupid mistake that many have made.  Unfortunately this mistake has made her life a living hell and drowning in her sorrows at the house of Jackson, who happens to be the band mate and friend of her brother.  Jackson is your typical rock star, nailing a ton of women along the way, but there is a side of Jackson that no one else knows about or sees.
Carlie and Jackson have a love/hate relationship in a way, these two know exactly what to say that will have the other one plotting their death.  However, when these two begin to become closer they will protect the other like a pit bull with a meaty bone.  The sexual tension between them can ignite a house on fire.
Kiss Me Like You Mean It is book two in the Kiss Me Series.  While you don’t need to read Rhapsody, which is a short novella, or Shut Up and Kiss Me, I would recommend that you do so.  This is a good short read.  I wish this book would have been longer, it is a little rushed due to the length and I would have enjoyed watching the relationship between Carlie and Jackson continue for a little longer.

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Tracks by Sarah Biermann

I love me some rock-n-roll books. I crave them. If they're angsty, drama filled, hot sex, man whore galore...even better. If it's well written, I can devour the book within hours. Now with all that being said there are some of those moments in this book buuuuut there were just too many problems with the story that I had a hard time getting thru even though I did finish it.

We are introduced to Dylan. From the beginning she's a shy very put together knows what she wants in life and will go after it twenty one year old virgin. She gets accepted to Harvard Law School along with her friend Theresa. Dylan's family life is what made her to what she is. Her Dad and Mom were not faithful to each other and she knows this by catching her Dad with a student and when she meets her real father. She wants nothing to do with any non sense that could hinder her education and life.

Dylan and Theresa have tickets to go see Jeremy Mason. A musical child genius who enters the rock world and has his own problems. At the concert, which they have front row seats, Dylan and Jeremy make eye contact and from here things start becoming problems for me. I get the attraction. He sees her beauty and innocence and it's refreshing for him and she sees him as a rock God. What becomes the problem is the inconsistencies thru out the book. For starters she's a virgin but then it goes on and says that she has had relations with other men. I'm like huh? I don't like to nit pick but this is where a great editor comes into play. The sex is so so and there's a scene with beer that did nothing for me. Maybe it's because I don't like beer. *shrugs shoulders*

They get together but of course not without drama. The drama is real life situations that affect everyone especially Jeremy and Dylan. He knows he needs help and she gives him the ultimatum and he finally cleans up his act. I didn't like the epilogue cause of the way it left off. No cliffhanger but it could have been more. I will read the second book but sad to say it's not at the top of my TBR stack. The story and author has potential but like I said earlier, it needs an editor.

Excerpt:
I make a disgusted sound in my throat. “I am totally fucked up by what my mother did to me,” I say, still aghast at his reaction to my story.
“Fucked up?” he questions, confused. “Why? Because you’re shy? Because you’re private? Because you don’t like to be vulnerable? Because you strive to achieve great things to prove you’re good enough to be worth something?”
The way he instantly knows me makes me very uncomfortable. I freeze, wide eyed and unable to speak for a moment. How could he see me so clearly? How did this connection between us go so deeply? It was disturbing to me, the understanding between us. It’s deeper than even the physical pull between us, as if the air that separates our bodies is electrically charged. I had worked my whole life to push people away, building up this wall of protection. And yet here is this man, tearing it down and seeing who I am through all the bullshit. Maybe I'm not as good at hiding myself as I thought.
“Yeah,” I finally muttered. “Those reasons are pretty much why.”
“It makes you beautiful. The things you say it created in you... are what attract me to you in this unbelievable way. You’re timid, shy, brilliant, and completely unaware of how amazing you are.”
I go statue still. My heart feels like it’s going to explode at his words. How did our conversation change course so quickly? I don’t know if I’m prepared for this. “Amazing?” I repeat in disbelief.
He smiles a catlike smile, like he’s hunting again. Immediately, my breathing increases. “Oh yes. When I first saw your eyes from the stage,” he leans closer to me. I want to both back away and lean toward him at the same time. “I wanted to make them roll back into your head. I wanted to grab your round hips and pull you close to me.” He crouches on the couch, one leg on and one leg off, leaning over me. With his face against my cheek again, he whispers in my ear, “You. Are. Breathtaking.”
