Review: Bad Kitty by Eliza Gayle

Kity has lost everything.
She lost her father.
She lost her clan.
She’s been banned to the neutral zone.
And if she’s not careful, she’s going to lose her life.

The day Kitty moves to the neutral zone, she gets attacked. In order to save her life, she runs. She runs right into the enemy territory where she’s about to be claimed by the enemy.

Rafe comes across her and decides he has to save her. She’s his mate. The problem? She’s feline and he’s canine. On top of that, their clans don’t really get along. Add into this complication, according to the rules, Rafe’s clan members found her first and have claim to her.

This was a hot little tale. Rafe and Kitty were good together. My biggest problem was Kitty. She was difficult for me to like at times. She could be a real biotch.  Rafe was good with her. He put up with a lot and helped her learn to trust him.

The ending was a bit weird for me. It came a little out of left field for me. However, that ending did set up for future books in this series. I’ll definitely be reading them. This one is a spin off of another series by Eliza Gayle. I have not read that series and it did not prohibit me from enjoying this book. Enough back information is provided that the others are not necessary to this one. However, I intend to go back and read those!

Blog Tour: Tucker's Fall by Eliza Gayle

Maggie Cisco’s life has been turned upside down. She was in the middle of a scandal that cost her her professorship at the University, her marriage, and her reputation in the academic community. She returns to her hometown to hide out and continue her research into BDSM. Maggie feels like she is almost an expert, but all of her knowledge is from books, never any personal experience. On her way home one night, Maggie gets caught in a snow storm and is rescued by Tucker Lewis; the one teenage kiss she has never been able to forget.

Tucker Lewis is rich, an artist and a Dom. Tucker definitely remembers Maggie. He remembers the kiss they shared and her submissive nature. Tucker has secrets of his own. He has lived through a scandal so he understands what Maggie is feeling, but he is still feeling the effects. His life, while successful in his art, is hollow and unfulfilled. When the sins of the past make themselves known in the present, can Tucker and Maggie’s relationship survive?

OMG the scenes between these two could set fire to your reading device! Tucker is H.O.T. He is determined to make Maggie his sub, but damn this woman is bratty and stubborn at times. I began to think oh man, he's going to have fun training her. I was kind of let down when Tucker let her get away with a lot of things and being so bratty towards him. That is my only true complaint about the book.

The relationship between them is strained from the beginning due to the lack of trust. Neither wants to completely share their pasts, and when doubt is placed in Tucker’s head, he allows his issues with his own past to cloud his vision instead of searching for the truth. You could see it coming and I know I was thinking oh damn, now he’s gone and done it.

Tucker’s Fall is the first book in the Purgatory Master’s series. I am interested to see how this is going to play out. If you are a fan of Eliza Gayle or BDSM I would highly suggest you pick up Tucker's Fall and be prepared for one hot read!
