Since book one, I have waited for Nash’s book to come
out. I saw something in him that I
wanted to read more of. When I found out that his book was coming out next, let’s
just say this reviewer did a happy dance, it wasn’t pretty, but it was happy. When I was able to review this book, even
happier dance happened, still not a pretty one though lol.
Nash, man like I said you knew there was something more to
him since book one and I was not expecting what I found out. Honestly, I was thinking he was going to be
your typical man whore, asshole who didn’t have depth but had a secret, maybe
nothing that would have molded him but something. What we got was a broken man who was living
through something that would bring lower men to their knees. He valued his friendship with Velvet, even
though he may not have always liked what she had to say, he knew she was
special and didn’t want to ruin that. I
have loved J and Scott and didn’t think anyone could beat them, but for me Nash
blows them both out of the water.
Velvet was the yin to Nash’s yang. She was smart mouthed when needed, a great
friend and could make Nash laugh. She
also had a past, and it like Nash, it defined her. She wasn’t ashamed of her occupation, even
though she was making something better for herself, she never once put down
what she did. I felt for Velvet in a way
that only someone who has gone through what she did could. (Seriously by now I am not going to give it
away so don’t ask lol) I just loved her character.
I devoured this book in one setting. I am in love with the Storm MC men and love
how each book still has great scenes with the previous couples. I love when an author keeps her characters
alive and an important part to the rest of the series. There are a lot of MC books out there, some
good, some well not so good, but this series and especially this book is one of
the best out there. Do yourself a favor
and check it out.
