Book Tour: Until Jax By Aurora Rose Reynolds

Ellie Anthony isn’t looking for love. She isn’t even looking for a man, but when Jax Mayson insists on keeping her and her daughter safe, she’s left with no choice but to trust him. Now she just hopes she doesn’t get hurt when she falls hard for a guy who’s known for breaking hearts.

Jax Mayson knows that Ellie is his BOOM the moment he sees her. When he finds out she has a daughter, he realizes he wants a family, and he will do whatever is necessary to keep both of his girls safe, even if that means facing the demons from his past.
O.M.G.! I absolutely LOVED Until Jax!  I love the Boom!  If you don’t know what this is, first of all are you living in a cave?  Okay if you don’t know what the Boom! is read the Until series then read Until Jax because you will understand why I love it so much.

Until Jax is everything that we have come to love from any of the Until series books.  Sexy alpha males, sassy females, drama, action, sex, oh baby the sex, love, humor and oh so much more.  With every book that Ms. Reynolds writes about this family I love them more and more.  I am not even going to lie, I screamed like I just won the lottery when I saw the arc hit my kindle.  What can I say, I was just a tad bit excited.

Jax.  I need Jax in my life.  He is sweet, protective, funny, sexy, loving, basically everything an alpha male should be.  When he first meets Ellie in Until July, he knows that she is his Boom.  The men just know and once they know there is no stopping them from winning over the other parts of their heart and soul.  I love how he immediately was not just protective of Ellie but of her daughter as well.  That right there is what a true man is.  He opens his heart and life even to children who may not be his but will be soon.  I do feel for him, when something happens, something that had me tearing up, it will make you want to make things right with people in your life that you may not be getting along with.

Ellie is sweet and from the start I loved her character.  She has her own secrets but once she feels that she can trust Jax she opens up to him and allows him into her heart and her daughter’s.  She was the perfect Boom for Jax.  Even with everything she had been through she stayed strong when most would crack like a broken egg.

I honestly cannot get enough from this author or these Until series.  I am anxiously awaiting the next book.  I love how this series shows that love can happen at first site, may it be a Boom or fate, that when you find that other part of your heart that you should never give up until they are yours.

“Thank you again for taking me.” Pulling my eyes from the road for a brief moment, I look at Ellie. Her head is resting against the window, her legs pulled up onto the seat, tucked near her ass, and her arms are wrapped tight around them. One thing I’ve noticed about her over the last few hours is she’s always wrapping her arms around herself or tucking her body into a tight ball. It’s like she’s forcing herself to stay together.
“I told you I got you, baby,” I say gently, wanting more than anything to take her hand in mine, but every time I touch her, she freezes up like she’s waiting for me to strike out at her, and I would be lying if I said that didn’t piss me the fuck off. It does; it feels like a slap in the face every time it happens.
“I know,” she whispers, and the tears I hear in her voice cause a sharp pain in my chest.
Fuck.
“This is the turnoff.” Her feet go to the floorboard and her hands to the dash as she sits up taller, moving her face closer to the windshield. We drive up a long dirt driveway with forest and the occasional broken down car on each side. When we make it to the top of the hill, a singlewide trailer comes into view, with junk cars and garbage piled up out front.
As soon as I come to a stop, she opens her door and hops out before I can tell her to keep her little ass in the cab. I don’t even know how I’m going to deal with the range of emotions that have settled over me since seeing her for the first time.
“Fucking Boom,” I mutter, getting out behind her and doubling my steps until I’m able to reach her side, where I wrap my hand around her waist and pull her closer to me. She’s so fucking tiny that the top of her dark head sits right at my chest. So fragile, from her too soft skin to her petite size. And she’s mine.

Blog Tour: Fighting To Breathe By Aurora Rose Reynolds

Lea Lamb and Austin Wolf were young when they fell in love. They never imagined the future could hold anything other than together-forever.
When Lea’s father dies in a tragic fishing accident, she's crushed under the weight of her grief and catches a glimpse of another type of future, one she knows she's not strong enough to face.
Austin is angry. For the past fifteen years, he's believed the woman he loved with every ounce of his soul left him without so much as a backwards glance.
When Lea unexpectedly returns to their hometown, all the years of heartache inside Austin bubbles to the surface and presents itself as blinding rage.
Faced with the truth about the past, a newly discovered secret, these former lovers will learn that if they want to have any chance at the future they’d given up on all those years ago, they will have to rescue one another from drowning in pain so debilitating it will leave them both fighting to breathe.

I am so ashamed to even admit this but I waited until the last possible minute to read Fighting To Breathe. *Hangs head in shame* There really wasn’t a good reason why I waited, I’ve been pretty busy with other reviews but this was one I wanted so so badly that I think I was worried that I might not love it as much as I thought I would.  And to tell you the truth, I didn’t…I loved it a million times more than I thought I could have.

I should never had even a moment of doubt that Aurora Rose Reynolds wouldn’t be write something that I would not just love but would have me feel so many different emotions.  Fighting To Breathe had me fighting to breathe and kept me on the edge of my seat.  This is an emotional read, one that breaks your heart because of time lost, lies told and of the loss of something beautiful.  I laughed, I cried, I had anxiety, and in the end I smiled.  Lea and Austin will have you feel so many emotions, and you will be angry at certain things because these things are what caused all this pain to begin with.  I won’t say what they are but I wanted to just scream when I read it because it was so unfair.

If you are a fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds I think you will love this just as much as her other books, and if maybe she is a new to you author that you weren’t sure about trying, take the risk, get Fighting To Breathe or any of her other books and give it a try.  I think once you do you will see why I say that she writes beautifully and knows how to make you feel so many different emotions with her words.  I can’t wait for the next book in this series because I am already craving more.

Excerpt:

“CAN WE STOP by the liquor store on the way to dinner?” Mom asks from the passenger seat of my car.
“Should you be drinking?” I frown then turn onto the main road—well, really the only road in town.
“What’s it going to do, kill me?” she jokes, making me inhale a sharp breath. “Honey,” she says quietly, and I look at her briefly, wondering how the hell she can be so casual about this. “I’m dying. When it will happen, only the good Lord knows, but it is happening, and there is nothing you or I can do about it. I have made my peace with it, and I want you to do the same.” She reaches over to pat my thigh.
“Make peace with it?” I repeat, shaking my head in disbelief.
“Yes, make peace with it. If you think about it, I’m lucky. I know I’m going to die. I know that sooner rather than later God is going to come take me home, and when he does, I will be ready. I will have had a chance to say goodbye to the people I care about and right any wrongs I’ve caused. I’m lucky, honey.”
“What about me?” I wring my hands on the steering wheel, feeling my chest get tight as I fight back tears.
“I love you, honey. I loved you before you were even a sparkle in my eye, and I will always be with you. I know this isn’t easy for you. I know there are going to be a lot of tears shed, but we’re lucky, honey.”
I press my lips together to keep from saying something I might regret. I’m not lucky; in fact, I’m unlucky to the tenth power. How many people have I lost, how many people do I have to loose before it’s enough.
“Oh look! Sheryl!” She yells, pulling me from my thoughts as she reaches over, pressing the horn on my steering wheel while her other hand shoots across me so she can wave out my window. Looking to where she’s waving my heart begins to beat wildly
against my ribcage when I see not Sheryl, but Austin walking into one of the many bars that litter Main Street, only it’s not just Austin—it’s him and a woman with her arm wrapped around the back of his waist as he holds the door open for her.
Even from the distance separating us, my lungs compress at the beauty that is him. The years have been good to him. His hair is still shaggy, only now a little lighter; his face is tan and covered in a beard that makes his crystal blue eyes stand out even more. My eyes travel from his face to his torso, which is covered in a dark green thermal that shows off the muscles of his arms, chest, and tapered waist, then down to his denim-covered thighs. When my gaze sweeps back up, his eyes are on me, and I see them crinkle in confusion then realization that soon turns into anger.
“You missed the liquor store,” my mom complains as I speed up.

Book Tour: Until July By Aurora Rose Reynolds

This is a standalone and a spin off of the New York Times best selling Until Series

Wes Silver wasn’t looking for love, but when July Mayson literally knocks him on his ass during their first encounter, his world is turned upside down by the quirky blonde, and every moment with her makes him more determined to protect her.

July Mayson doesn’t understand the pull she feels toward the bad boy biker Wes Silver, but she knows being with him is like nothing she’s ever felt before. Now all she has to do is tell her overprotective father, Asher Mayson, that she’s found her boom.

Move over Asher Mayson because Wes Silver just proved that he is a badass alpha like you, but his sights are set on your daughter, July.  Wes is a sexy, alpha bad boy biker who isn’t afraid of going after the woman he wants and he wants July.  She was nothing like the other women he used to want.  July is a feisty, sexy, smart ass, strong woman and she does not take any of Wes’ shit and I absolutely loved her!  The sexual tension between these two is combustible and when they get together it is explosive, like change your panties or grab your significant other because I wish that was happing to me type of explosive.

I wasn’t sure how this would stand up next to the Until series, because spin offs can be tricky but Aurora Rose Reynolds nailed it.  From the first sentence until the last I couldn’t get enough of Wes and July.  There is just something, at least for me that is, about a bad boy falling for the one woman who can knock him on his ass instantly.  Maybe it is the allure of the bad boy, or maybe it’s the promise of something beautiful that has me loving these books but whatever it may be I hope that Ms. Reynolds can continue to produce such an addicting read like she has so far.  I am anxiously awaiting for more of not just the Until Her series but I want to see what she has in store for us with Until Jax as well.

Meet Wes & July in Until July!

Excerpt:

I sit up when I see a few bikes in the distance. I don’t recognize their patches, but that doesn’t surprise me. Tennessee has a huge MC community, and there are always new clubs popping up all over the state. I slow down as I close the distance between us.
The closer I get, the more details I can make out. The group of about five bikes in front of me are all Harleys, all ranging in colors from almost purple to black. None of the men are wearing helmets, which is the complete opposite of me, who is covered from head to toe in black leather. Even my helmet is all black, with leather piping.
I take the men in, noticing they are all well-built, their leather cuts displaying a large eagle, with its wings spread wide like it’s midflight. The talons of the bird are carrying a long stem rose, with petals falling off it onto their club name, The Broken Eagles. I begin to speed up and pass them one by one, thankful for the security of my helmet, the black visor making it impossible to see me.
I keep my head straight until the last guy, the one who is at the front of the group, catches my attention. From the back, his hair is the first thing I notice. It’s slightly long on top and buzzed on the sides. My eyes move to the expanse of his back, the wide set of his shoulders, and the tan skin covering his lean muscles. His bike is low to the ground, and the bars are in front of him in a way that he has to stretch his arms straight out, causing every muscle to flex and move, making it look like the tattoos are alive and dancing.
My eyes skim farther down over his chest, which is covered in a white tank top tucked into a pair of light jeans, and around his waist is a black belt with a large silver buckle. I continue to pass him, my eyes shifting from the road to him and back again. This time when I look over, his head is turned towards me, and if I didn’t know any better, I would have swear he is looking directly into my soul.
“Holy shit,” I whisper, taking in his hair, the set of his jaw that is covered in days of stubble, and a pair of light eyes I can’t quite make out through the tint of my helmet. He is seriously hot, but equally scary-looking. I look from him back to the road. It must not have been even a second, but when my eyes go to the asphalt in front of me, I see a bird that is trying to make its way across the road, its wing hanging in an awkward position. I swerve to the right just in time to miss the poor animal.
“What the fuck?” I hear roared, and I look over my shoulder at the man who is now coming up quick on my right side. I yell an apology over the sound of my engine and his pipes. Do a quick wave and take off, lowering my body and pulling back the throttle, wanting to get away from them. Dude looks seriously pissed off, and even though I hate leaving the bird behind without helping it, I would like to live to see my next birthday.
I think I’m in the clear, but then the sound of pipes fills my ears, and I don’t even know how it happens, but they all catch up with me, surrounding my bike. I can’t make out what they’re saying, but my stomach starts to roll at the sound of their voices. I feel my side to make sure I have the Taser my dad insisted I carry.
I see a clearing and pull my bike off to the side of the road. I know this is probably one of the stupidest things I have ever done, but if they keep chasing me like they have been, we could all end up seriously hurt. I pull over and don’t even shut down my bike. I just lower my kickstand as my heart, which was already beating hard, begins to bang violently against my ribcage as they surround me.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” the guy who was at the head of the group asks, stepping in front of my bike.
I shake my head as my words get lodged in my throat.
He pulls me off my bike, and the men who are with him begin yelling obscenities as well.
“Sorry,” I croak out, and I don’t even know if he hears me as his hand goes to the collar of my leather jacket, where he shakes me hard. My hand accidently presses down on the button that ignites the Taser. The loud crack fills the air, and his eyes go wide then he falls to the ground, and I fall on my ass and crabwalk backwards. I look up when I hit something, only to meet the eyes of another man, who looks pissed.
“Get up,” he growls, picking me up. My feet flail under me as I’m lifted off the ground with my hands restrained behind my back.
“Hold him still,” the guy who I had tasered growls in front of me as I try to get away from the anger I feel coming off him. His hands go to my head and he rips my helmet off, causing my hair to float down around me.
Complete silence descends. I swear no one even takes a breath.

Blog Tour: Obligation By: Aurora Rose Reynolds

 [ob-li-gey-shuh n]
An obligation is a course of action that someone is required to take, whether legal or moral.
At six years old, Myla was sent to a family her father and mother had chosen for her when they knew their time on earth was almost up. What they were unaware of was what they thought would be her safe haven would become her living hell.
Kai has been watching Myla from afar since he took over the family business from his father and inherited the responsibility of keeping her safe. When word gets back to Kai that Myla is not only in danger, but that his assets are being compromised, he immediately jumps into action and does the only thing that can be done at the time by marrying her.
Neither Myla nor Kai would have thought that something that started off as a farce would become the most important thing either of them could've ever done.

Okay does Aurora Rose Reynolds even know how to write a guy that isn’t panty melting alpha hot, because I am seriously thinking that’s all she can write and if that is the case, well I ‘m not ever going to complain.  I absolutely love this series and all of these hot as hell alpha men.  I wish I could be one of these lucky ass women who land one of these guys, I’m not picky as long as he’s hot, can talk my panties off with a couple sexy as hell words, and is an alpha I’m his.  Hmmm maybe my husband would mind that a little too much, okay I will settle for reading about these guys instead.

Kai, holy hell man he may not have gone about things in the best way at times but his heart was in the right place even if he didn’t know that is where everything was coming from at the beginning.  He would do anything to protect Myla.  I didn’t think anyone would be able to top my love for Kenton but I believe that Kai has beaten him from being number one in my heart.

I really loved Myla as well.  She had went through some extremely hard times before being rescued by Kai.    She didn’t take it when Kai would get in her face about something.  She stood up to him when she needed to and I loved that about her.  She wasn’t weak, even when she could have been because of everything that had been going on.

Obligation is the second book of the Underground Kings series and I can’t wait for Distraction to release because I need more of the bad ass alpha men that Aurora Rose Reynolds is so well known for and that we all love.

Excerpt  #1
 “Everyone is looking for you.”
I turn my head, pulling my hair out of my face as I watch a boy I’ve never seen before climb up the stairs and into my tree house.
“Who are you?” I ask him as he sits across from me.
“Kai,” he smiles, looking around. He looks a lot different than the other kids I know. His hair is long, and his skin is a lot darker than mine. “Why are you hiding?”
I shrug and look away from him. Daddy was yelling earlier; he was so mad that he was turning red. Then Mommy started crying, and Daddy started yelling louder. I heard Mommy telling Daddy that he had to send me away. I don’t want to go away. I try to be good, but sometimes, I forget to listen.
“Why are you crying?”
I look up at him and wipe my face. “I’m scared,” I whisper, wiping my nose.
“Come on. I’ll protect you,” he says, holding his hand out to me.
Then my mommy calls my name again. I look at his hand, move Mr. Bear under my arm, and put my hand in his.
“Myla!” Mommy yells, running towards me.
I can tell she has been crying again.
“Where did you go?” Her hands grab my shoulders and she shakes me hard.
“It’s my fault. I asked her to show me the tree house,” Kai tells her.
She stops shaking me then looks at him. “You shouldn’t have done that. You knew we were looking for her,” she says angrily her head.
“I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking,” Kai says softly, putting his hands in his pockets and looking at the ground.
I look back at Mommy, and she shakes her head before grabbing my hand and pulling me with her. When I look over my shoulder at Kai, he smiles, making me smile back.
