Release Blitz: Crash By Amity Cross

Violet Fuller has been through a lot in her short life.

After being viciously attacked, she’s hidden herself away from the world for the past five years, fearing everyone and everything. That’s until the day she finally gathers the courage to go outside.

Violet decides to take a job at Ash’s new gym, Pulse, to reacquaint herself with the male dominated world of MMA. She used to be her brother’s biggest supporter, going to all his matches and cheering him on. There’s no one he trusts more to help him run the admin side of his new business, but when Violet walks through the door for the first time, she sees someone she wasn’t expecting.

Handsome, AUFC fighter, Lincoln Hayes.

The same Lincoln Hayes that she’s had a crush on since she was sixteen.

All muscled, disciplined, hot as hell, six-foot two of him. He’s definitely not a boy anymore.

Things are about to become more difficult than Violet had hoped. So much for easing back into reality.

And Lincoln? He’s only got one thing on his mind.

How do you win over a woman who is afraid of everything?

Simple.

You fight.

Release Blitz: Devil's Blood By Amity Cross

We would embrace the darkness together…
Or not at all.

Xavier Blood is a man adrift. And a dangerous man without purpose is a lethal cocktail for disaster. Mercy Reid has her revenge, but it’s not what her heart desires most.

After everything he’s been through, X doesn’t want to know where he came from, let alone who he was. Mercy has become his life, his anchor, his everything, so why should it matter?

Mercy thinks X is delaying the inevitable and pushes him to understand the thing he struggles with the most—his identity—but it might be one push too far in the wrong direction.

Who is Xavier Blood? Only one man has the answer and it’s the man Mercy wants to meet the least. The more X withdraws into his broken mind, the more desperate she becomes to save him, even if it means coming face to face with the man who tortured and conditioned her love to be a cold hearted killer.

The Watchman has the answers, but are they the ones she wants to hear?
I will admit I wasn’t sure if Devil’s Blood was going to meet up to the expectations I have set for this series.  I was a little let down with the last book, but obviously not that let down that I continued on with this series.  I have loved X and Mercy since book one and I kind of feeling like I have been through every step of their relationship with them?  Weird? Yeah I think so as well but this series is dark, its edgy, it is not for the faint at heart and it is erotic, oh baby is it erotic and I want to love it as much as I have in the past.  So the big question is did I?  Oh to tell you now or to make you wait on the edge of your seat to see what I thought? I suppose I can be nice and tell you now.  I loved it!  It reminded me why I love this dark edgy series and why I am so addicted to Mercy and X.  In an effort to not give away anything I am going to end this review now but I will say this.  Devil’s Blood will continue to keep you on the edge of your seats, will make you want to know the answers we have all been waiting for since the very first book and will in true Royal Blood series fashion mind fuck you so hard that you can’t walk straight.

Release Day Blitz: Blood Rites By Amity Cross

A beautiful star, a dark prince with a price and an affair that pushes the limits of sanity...

Sebastian Vaughn has a secret.
Lorelei Lansford is the epitome of perfection.

Vaughn has darkness inside of him. Recruited by a criminal organization at a young age, he leads a double life. He deals in women, arms and intelligence, but to the outside world he's just another rich playboy living the lifestyle. That is until he crosses paths with a shining star, a beauty he can’t keep his hands off.

Lorelei was born into a wealthy family and has certain responsibilities she is expected to obey without question. One of those is not falling in love with high society bad boy, Sebastian Vaughn. Money, sex, danger... Vaughn exudes it and like a moth to a flame, she can’t stay away. When Vaughn steps into something out of his control there’s only one way he can escape with his life. He has to make a deal that will betray everything he holds dear.

The price?
Lorelei.

Warning: This is a story about pain and retribution. It does not have a happy ending. There is strong language, sex scenes and violence. It is not intended for those of a squeamish disposition. Blood Rites is dark, dangerous and smooth. You have been warned.

18+ due to mature sexual content.

Please, please take the warning from the author seriously.  I never want a reader to go into a book after not reading a warning and then hating it because they didn’t take the time to read the warning.  Now that being said I shall be short and sweet with my review because I am not giving one single thing away.

If you have read the previous books in the Royal Blood series you know going in that this is not your sweet happy loving romances.  They are dark, emotional, painful and at times disturbing (I love those types of books).  Blood Rites continues this trend and I loved every dark moment.

You were introduced to Vaughn in the previous book, and I know I was extremely curious as to who “The Hangman” was and the story behind his pain.  All I am going to say is that it only takes one event or even a series of events to make someone turn to the darker side of life.  Take from that what you will but there is no happily ever after here, sorry.

Amity Cross has a way to make the dark, disturbing reads suspenseful enough that it keeps you coming back for more mind fucks when what you should really do is run far away.  If you are a fan of these types of books please check out the first two books before diving into Blood Rites, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Release Boost: Bad Blood By Amity Cross

A killer without a master.

A monster without a leash.

Xavier “X” Blood is a contract killer. Cold, calculating, devoid of feeling.

He knows the best way to drive the life from another human beings eyes, but what he doesn’t bargain on is wanting to save a life he’s meant to take.

Mercy Reid was good at running from her demons. That was until she met X and her life was thrown into chaos.

Mercy finally has him on her side…and in her bed, but it’s at a cost far greater than she could’ve anticipated.

On the run, they must learn to trust one another beyond their burgeoning love if they want to get through the coming chaos. Revenge, truth, lies...heartache...insanity. All of it threatening to drive them apart.

Mercy will do whatever it takes to avenge the horror that Sykes put her through. Anything. Even if she has to drown the last of her soul in the bad blood that threatens to destroy the last thing she holds dearest in her heart.

X.
Review Originally posted on April 7, 2015

Just like in the previous book I am going to warn you.  If you do not like dark reads, skip this book.  If you do not like disturbing situations, then skip this book.  If you are looking for rainbows, unicorns and sunshine, then skip this book cause there isn’t one damn rainbow, unicorn or glimpse of sunshine in Bad Blood.  If you need sweet romance, keep on moving because Bad Blood is anything but.

We pick up where Royal Blood left off, with X and Mercy leaving to get away from the threat that her thirst for vengeance has brought and the threat of his MC for his betrayal.  X has broken through his training, and he is remembering and feeling things he never felt before, and these things are fucking with his sanity.  Mercy is a calming force for him but at the same time his thirst for blood, Mercy’s blood, is still strong.  Mercy knows that at any moment X could end her, but she hopes deep down that one of those feelings that he is beginning to feel is love for her.  While training for her to be able to take her vengeance on the bastard who killed her family, Mercy learns more about herself, X and to what lengths she can actually go to to complete her plan.

Was I as completely enthralled by Bad Blood as I had been with Royal Blood?  Yes I was but at the same time I wanted so much more.  Okay maybe I was out of blood when I was reading this, I may have been in a mood that needed the darker side of my love of reading to be fed.  And it was fed but I needed more!  There is a slight cliff hanger that leaves the possibility for more of X and Mercy in the future, and I hope we get more because I would read it for sure.  Like I said when I started this review this book does not have rainbows, unicorns and sunshine but it has something that makes you want X and Mercy to find their own version of a happily ever after, even if that version is surrounded by blood, death or vengeance.  This author has been one of my go to authors when I need something darker and will continue to be so.
