I have been waiting for this to hit my kindle like a crack head needs their next fix. And let me tell you, as soon as I saw it I got my Marcus fix. If you thought that Vol. 1 had you on the edge of your seat, well then Vol. 2 will push you over the edge. Marcus is still the asshole that I love to hate but he has changed. Katia is still one pissed off bitch and while she has every right to be after what Marcus had pulled, she takes her anger to a whole new level that even had me scared. Time has past, there are still secrets but now there are secrets on both parts. There is still hate, anger, the need for vengeance and well some pretty hot angry sex. Holy shit, to say that the angry sex was panty melting would be an understatement to say the least.

I really love how Bella Jewel can write such intense and at times heart wrenching books but at the same time can make her readers fall in love with the asshole, the bad boy, the player, or the manwhore. She just has a way of making her readers want to love these men even while at times we may be wanting to take a baseball bat to the side of their heads and ask “Why oh why are you such an asshole?”. I did not put my kindle down the entire time I was reading Vol. 2, I just had to see where she was going to go with Marcus and Katia’s relationship and she doesn’t disappoint. Once again Bella Jewel has proven why I am such a fan of her writing and I don’t see that ever changing if she keeps up the way she is, and that is writing damn good books.

As a book whore and a reviewer I have read many books where I have hated and loved a male character but never have I been at such a war with myself like I am now with Marcus Tandem. I hate him so much but at the same time I love him and his character. He is an asshole, a bastard for what he has done to Katia, and deserves a swift kick to the balls at the least. At the same time, he is sexy as hell, an alpha male and even though what he did at the beginning was a major asshole move, he sacrificed his happiness, and heart to protect her. I love him despite all of those things I hated about the way he is, I love him because deep down he is a good man who does bad things and I love him because I know we haven’t seen all that Marcus Tandem truly is.

Katia is sweet, trusting and totally in love with Marcus. She is also naive to everything that is behind the reasons for their quick marriage and almost a little stupid for not questioning why Marcus is the way he is to her but at the same time never shows emotions or feelings towards her. But now, now she is pissed off, hurt and out for revenge and I hope that her anger and need for revenge doesn’t cost her happiness later on.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I am a huge Bella Jewel fan and have not yet been disappointed by any of the books she has written. Now this does have a cliff hanger so when you start please don’t get mad that we have to wait until the next book to find out what will happen. It’s worth it trust me, and I hate cliffhangers (just ask my husband because the tantrum I throw rivals my three year old). I cannot wait to find out when she plans on releasing book two because I am desperate for the next book like an addict for their next fix. Make sure you add this to your TBR lists, and if you haven’t read any of Ms. Jewel’s books before, pick one up and see why I love her as much as I do.
