Blog Tour and Review: Logan's Acadian Wolves by Kym Grosso

Kym Grosso has a way of pulling you into the story from the very beginning. From the very first sentence I was hooked on this story.

Logan’s Acadian Wolves picks up with the death of the Alpha of the Acadian Wolves. As the Alpha is dying, Logan makes a deathbed promise to the Alpha to take over as Alpha of the Acadian Wolves.

From there, it just gets more interesting.

Logan meets Wynter as she’s running from vampires. She’s escaped from them, as she’s been held captive for quite some time. Logan decides to help her.

Wynter was human. I say human because now she’s wolf. She’s been changed and no one knows exactly how this is going to play out.

As Logan is protecting Wynter, he realizes, reluctantly, that she’s his mate. Poor Wynter keeps screwing up. She’s not pack so she doesn’t realize how her actions affect Logan and thusly the pack. It’s one misunderstanding after another.

Logan decides she needs a lesson in how to be wolf. And OMG! What a lesson it was! It was SO hot! I’ll never look at kitchen counters the same!

Logan is an enigmatic character. Once again we Kym Grosso has created a character who is flawed. But it’s his flaws that make him that much more wonderful. You can’t help but love him for his flaws.

Wynter is just as flawed. She makes mistakes but owns up to them and tries to do what is right. She has moments of weakness, as any person would, but she always finds her inner strength. That inner strength keeps her going.

I’m very excited by the epilogue of this one. It looks to be another intriguing story in the Immortals of New Orleans Series!

Excerpt

“Odd vampire, isn’t he?” Wynter noted.
“That he is. My gut tells me he abides by some code of honor, but don’t ever mistake him for anything but what he is,” Logan warned.
“A monster?”Logan smiled. “Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster.” She laughed. “Another quote?”
“Friedrich Nietzsche,” Logan confirmed. He took her hands in his. “We have a few hours before it’s time to leave. I know I should be encouraging you to go relax, take a nap or something sensible like that.”
“Relax, huh? How ‘bout a bubble bath? Or a massage?” She winked and dragged her finger down his chest.
“A bath sounds good to me as long as I’m in there with you.” Logan pulled her flush to him, burying his head in her neck and growled. “You drive me crazy, do you know that? I can’t keep my hands off you.”
Wynter giggled, growing aroused, loving the feel of his warm lips on her skin. She looked over to the table and gave him a sexy smile. “My Alpha,” she began seductively. “You know, I just noticed that this is a really nice table. Sturdy. Long. Hard.”
My Alpha? Logan’s cock thickened at her words. The table isn’t the only hard thing in this room, baby. He glanced to its wooden top then back to her with a smile.
“African mahogany. A friend custom made it for me. You like?”
“Oh I like. I mean, it looks very functional. I bet we could get a lot of work done at this table,” she mused with a wink. Meeting his eyes, she gave him a suggestive smile and cocked her eyebrow. She slid her hand down between his legs and cupped his hard arousal. “You know, I always wondered what it would be like to be a secretary. I’ve been looking around here, and it seems you’re in need of some assistance.”
Logan hissed, closing his eyes. Holy shit, that felt amazing.
“How about I fill in for your secretary today?” she asked. “I’m very good at dictation, sir.”
Wynter had never in her life been so forward. But after making love to Logan, she craved him more than ever. As though she were addicted to a drug, she needed more. The warmth between her legs grew painful. Feeling flirtatious and horny, she didn’t think it would take very long to entice him into her fantasy.
Logan eyed Wynter, hardly believing he could be so lucky. His naughty little wolf wanted a romp in the office? Seriously? His brain said ‘no way’, but his burgeoning erection said, ‘hell yes’. He’d have to be careful not to get carried away. His wolf wanted this woman in the worst way, sought to claim her.
“Sweetheart, I don’t think you know what you’re askin’. My wolf, he’s restless.” He gently nipped at her collarbone, as if to give her fair warning. If he took her, it was going to be rough and hard.
“But I do...I know exactly what I’m agreeing to.” Wynter leaned into Logan and placed a kiss to his chin then dragged her tongue along his bottom lip and kissed him.

“Do you now?” Logan grabbed a fistful of her hair, gently pulling her head backwards. Revealing her neck, he licked at the hollow until she gasped.

Review: Tristan's Lyceum Wolves by Kim Grosso

Betrayal
Heartache
Fresh Starts
Finding Home

All of these things can be found in Tristan’s Lyceum Wolves. Kym Grosso has weaved a world where vampires, shifters and witches exist alongside humans. It’s a magical world that has it’s own laws and traditions.

In Tristan’s Lyceum Wolves, Tristan has finally found his mate. It’s been over 100 years but he’s finally found her, not that he was looking.

His mate appears to be human. But then, things aren’t always what they seem. As Kallie’s past collides with her future with Tristan, she’ll have to learn to trust. Even if it could put her life on the line.

I think I’m in love with Tristan. He’s not perfect. In fact he screws up a lot. But he’s man enough to admit when he screws up and say I’m sorry. That right there makes me swoon! Add in the fact that he’s an alpha and likes to play kinky games, and well….

Kallie comes from an abusive pack. She’s hiding in plain sight. When she meets Tristan, she puts it all on the line. I like the fact that she’s a real character. She has reasons to be cautious and she doesn’t trust easily, but she doesn’t let it define her. Kallie is willing to take a chance.

The betrayal and misdeeds of those close to us always hurt the worst. Tristan and Kallie have some serious issues they need to deal with when someone in their pack betrays them.

Once again we start the next book in the series and I’m looking forward to it! I’m so excited for Logan, although I’m not happy at the way it happens!

Review: Luca's Magic Embrace by Kym Grosso

Luca’s Magic Embrace picks up right after Kade’s Dark Embrace ends. Luca’s been captured, silvered and drained. He’s on the verge of dying. He’s makes one final attempt to contact Kade. Kade and his mate, Sydney, save Luca.

Now, Luca’s going after Samantha. She’s in danger and she’s left the safety of the coven. He’s off to bring her back to New Orleans to keep her safe.

Luca and Samantha embark on an adventure to find who captured Luca and is threatening Samantha. It’s a race against time.

Samantha and Luca were amazing together. They had a deep connection, a spark that really added to their interactions. The passion they felt for each other led into all other parts of their lives.

I enjoyed watching Luca fall in love again after hundreds of years. Seeing him fall for a human after vowing to never fall one. The fact that Samantha is now a witch doesn’t matter to Luca. She’s still human and he won’t love a human.

Samantha has had her life ripped away from her. She’s been kidnapped, forced to do who knows what, had God only knows what done to her. She’s also lost her human life and now has magic flowing through her veins. On top of all that, she has someone threatening her. The wonderful thing about Samantha was how real she felt to me. She had moments of vulnerability, tears, and weakness. But no matter how she was feeling, she dealt and pushed forward. This is what happens to most people. She showed feeling and an inner strength.

Luca was an amazing person for Samantha. He protected her, loved her, made her feel safe. Let her know, no matter what he would accept her and love her. She was free to be herself and explore everything.

The mystery and suspense of who kidnapped Luca and was threatening Samantha added an extra layer to this story. I liked that people were not always what they seemed. There was nothing to overtly alert me to who all the players in the story were.

We have a new problem with the Immortals of New Orleans. This problem will continue in the next story Tristan’s Lyceum Wolves. I’m looking forward to finding out how Tristan falls, who he falls for and how they resolve the newest problem for the Immortals!
