Blog Tour: One Dom To Love By: Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob and Isabella LaPearl

OneDomToLoveBTBanner

OneDomToLoveCoverRaine Kendall has been in love with her boss, Macen Hammerman, for years. Determined to make the man notice that she’s a grown woman with desires and needs, she pours out her heart and offers her body to him—only to be crushingly rejected. But when his friend, very single, very sexy Liam O’Neill watches the other Dom refuse to act on his obvious feelings for Raine, he resolves to step in and do whatever it takes to help Hammer find happiness again, even rousing his friend’s possessive instincts by making the girl a proposition too tempting to refuse. But he never imagines that he’ll end up falling for her himself.

Hammer has buried his lust for Raine for years. After rescuing the budding runaway from an alley behind his exclusive BDSM Dungeon, he has come to covet the pretty submissive. But tragedy has taught him that he can never be what she needs. So he watches over her while struggling to keep his distance. Liam’s crafty plan blindsides Hammer, especially when he sees how determined his friend is to possess Raine for his own. Hammer isn’t ready to give the lovely submissive over to any other Dom, but can he heal from his past and fight for her? Or will he lose Raine if she truly gives herself—heart, body, and soul—to Liam?

When I picked up One Dom To Love I was really excited to begin reading it, the authors are some of my favorites because I know that they will leave me reaching for my husband and praying that the kids are asleep.  So when I started reading it, I was in a way disappointed by the end.  It’s not that it is poorly written, boring or just blah.  I had an issue with Raine one that I thought I could overcome but couldn’t by the end of the book.  (Mind you this is the first book in the series so I may come to like her in the next book, it is something that I will have to wait and see.)  She was so extremely bratty and while I normally love reading about a submissive who has sass and knows how to use it, Raine at times acts like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum.  She wants to be Hammer’s but she doesn’t have the slightest idea on how to even be submissive and then when a punishment sadly gets to an extreme she ends up with Liam.

Liam is Hammerr’s best friend and is also a Dom, he was trying to get Hammer to finally open his eyes up about Raine and his feelings but what he does just in a way goes against everything I have ever been taught in this lifestyle.  Yes, he had good reasoning behind why and I totally get that but the way he reacts after finding out his scheme may have in one way worked but then quickly backfired not only hurt him but Raine and Hammer as well.

Was One Dom To Love a good read overall, yes it was.  Was it at times extremely sexy?  Yes.  Was it at time angsty because of Raine and Hammer?  Yes again.  So while I am not fall down in love with One Dom To Love, I did enjoy it.  Will I read the next book as well?  It’s already on my kindle waiting for me to have a break to read it.  I am interested in seeing where these three authors will take us on Raine, Liam and Hammer’s journey.

Blog Tour: Captured in Croatia by Christine Edwards

Christine Edwards is one of my new must buy authors. I’m completely loving her series!  She can’t write them fast enough for me. Captured in Croatia is just as compelling as the previous books in this series.

Carew is not your typical heroine. She’s tough, trained, and deadly. The only problem is she met her match in Zoran. She’s also lucky that Zoran took an interest in her or she would have been dead. Instead she ends up prisoner of the very sexy, very hot Zoran.

The chemistry between Zoran and Carew is HOT! I was loving every minute of it. But this is not just an erotic story about a man and woman. There’s some danger, intrigue and suspense. Christine Edwards wove a story that had me on the edge of seat. I couldn’t wait to see what happened. How would they get out of trouble? How would they fine their HEA? Would they find their HEA?

I’m eagerly waiting on the next book from Christine Edwards! I’m ready for it!

Review: Origin by Dani Worth

Science Fiction is so much fun. There are so many wonderful things you can do with it. You can have aliens that are built differently, have differing abilities, differing philosophies, and you can build these whimsical, fantastic worlds.

Dani Worth has definitely done that with her series, Kithran Regenesis. The fourth book in this wonderful series comes out April 8 and I was fortunate enough to get my greedy little hands on a copy before it came out!

Ms. Worth continues to give us a wonderful world where people are free to love anyone they choose and however many people they choose. I love that! There’s no judgment in their world. It’s all about doing what makes you and the ones you love happy.

In Origin, we get to find out what happens to Claybourne and Anders. These are two people we met in the earlier books. I love that we find out what happens to them. We get their story. In addition we find another Gwinarian. Another one is coming home to Kithra!

But it’s more than that. We get a little closer to finding out why and how Kithra was destroyed all those years ago. We also get to watch Siri get her freedom and blossom under the love and passion she shares with Claybourne and Anders.

Siri has suffered for the past 14 years. She’s been held prisoner, abused, beaten, raped, tortured, you name it, it’s happened to her. Claybourne and Anders find her when they raid the pleasure ship she’s been held on. They take her with them and teach her to trust, to love, and to feel passion.

Ms. Worth did an amazing job of showing how Siri grew out of her shell and became her own person. How she found her backbone after all those years of abuse. Yes, I know it would normally take years and counseling, but this is fiction. It’s Science Fiction and Siri is a Gwinarian. Go with it. I did and it’s worth it!

We get some seriously hot smexy sex in this story. We get M/M, M/F and of course we get some good ol’ MMF. It’s all in there. But it’s not just about Siri finding her backbone and learning to love, it’s about Claybourne and Anders learning to forgive each other, love each other and move on. They find out how short life is and make that move.

We meet some people in this one. I’m hoping their stories will be coming soon. I can’t wait to get more of this wonderful world Ms. Worth has built!

Review: All Of Me by K.E. Osborn

All of Me is the final book in the Trust Me? Trilogy. I was so excited about this book. I couldn’t wait to find out what happens to Jeni and Aiden. I was dancing in my living room when I finally got my copy of it. YAY!

All of Me picks up right where Love Me? leaves off. Jeni has survived a brutal attack by her ex. She’s feeling pressured from Aiden and his dad. It’s awful for her. So, she did the only thing she felt she could do. She left Aiden.

We start off right where you think we would. Aiden is depressed and missing Jeni. Jeni is depressed, missing Aiden and suffering from PTSD. After a few weeks, she picks herself up and goes to work for her mom. From there things fall apart.

We were so on track with this story. I was into, I was hooked and then I felt like we took a left turn. After weeks of depression, and her family talking to her, consoling her, trying to help her, it only takes a single conversation with a nurse she met in the hospital for everything to become clear to her. This is the only contact she’s ever had with this person outside of the hospital. Why did it all of the sudden click with her.

From there it felt like one convenient thing after another happened to make the story happen. I was so disappointed. It felt contrived in places.

Now, there were some awesomely funny things that happened in this story, most of them involving Sarah and Chris. Let’s just say I’ll never look at a maid or a sailor the same way again!

We also had some wonderfully romantic moments. The flowers on Monday. The proposal (two of them). The wedding. It was wonderful.

I do recommend this series. It’s a wonderful love story.
