I have had a weird streak of really good arc’s and then I will have a ton that I either do not finish or rate extremely low.  I have sadly been on the bad and do not finish streak as of late.  So going into Broken Play I will admit I honestly kind of thought this will be another one to add to the bad streak, but I couldn’t have been more wrong!  It was extremely hot and I really enjoyed it.  Hello it’s about football players, a ménage and possibly some m/m action.  Of course I loved it, it had three of my favorite things! 

Broken Play will have you changing your panties more than once.  I am serious here people, these scenes and the buildup are some that will have you all hot and bothered.  The connection that Cass, Beau and Marian have is electrifying.  This isn’t just about a ménage, so let me get that perfectly clear right now.  It is also about friendship, trust, healing and opening your mind to new scenarios.  I enjoyed the introduction of the other characters as well, they played a large part in the book and I am curious to see what the author has planned for them.  I hope the next book comes out soon because I really do want to read more about these bad boys of football.

As I sit down to write this review, even days after finishing Their Virgin Mistress, I am torn about what I feel about the book.  Why am I torn you may ask?  Well it is because I have loved this series since the first book and while I will admit I am a book or two behind this normally is a series that I just automatically know will be super sexy and one that I know I will enjoy.  But this time I loved the suspense, I loved the sex scenes, I loved Oliver, Rory , and Callum, and I loved seeing characters from previous books pop up and play vital parts to the storyline.  What I didn’t like was Tory.  I am used to this series having strong female characters, ones that when they do submit to their Masters it means something more I guess because they aren’t looked at as weak, as Tory for me was extremely weak and massively immature throughout the entire book.  I also felt that it was similar to the first book and not as original as I had hoped.

Now I will warn you to have a change of panties close by when you read this one because it has some panty wetting scenes that fans of this series have come to not just expect but love as well.  Shayla Black and Lexi Blake are two of my must read authors because they know how to write kick ass stories with some extremely hot sex scenes and my opinion of them hasn’t changed.  Will I continue on and not just read the books I missed but future ones as well?  You are damn right I will because even though this particular one wasn’t my favorite I know these two authors will pull me back into the world they are creating and having me wish I was a part of it.

“Rory, what are you doing?” she demanded. He was supposed to be the reasonable one, but he’d proven that looks could be deceiving. Rory kicked opened the door to the hallway. Kicked it open. Yeah, nobody noticed that and it certainly didn’t make her ovaries melt at all. Nope. She didn’t like this side of Rory. Well, no part of her except those softening pink bits and maybe her heart. “I’m taking charge.” He strode down the hall. He didn’t pause or hesitate. When he walked past reporters, he didn’t bother to look their way. He was a man on a mission. “Put me down! You can’t carry me off. I thought I was supposed to smile at the press and make my nip slip go away.” Though she’d actually planned to be long gone by now, Tori realized it was too early to leave. “I don’t care about that. Your breast looked stunning. If it ends up on the front page, I’ll make a poster of it. I don’t care what other people think. I’m done with that and you need to be done with it, too.” He stopped when they passed a security station. The guards allowed them into the palace’s private family wing. One even grinned as he opened the door for them. Once the door closed, they were alone in a grand foyer. The heavy portal blocked the sounds of the party. Now that her surroundings were quiet, she could practically hear her heart pounding. Finally, Rory stopped, and she found herself on her feet again. Tori tried to catch her breath as he pressed closer and invaded her space. “This is too fast.” His fingers brushed her jawline. He dipped his head low. “No. We’ve dragged this out for months. I won’t slow down. Now that I’ve made the decision, I can’t wait any longer.” His mouth descended on hers in a slow slide. He clutched her hips, pulling her into the cradle of his muscular thighs. His lips took hold of hers, molding in a dominant glide. Her whole body went soft and she was grateful for his arms around her. They held her up when all she wanted to do was drop to her knees. Rory was kissing her. Finally. Callum had mentioned topping her. She knew what BDSM meant to well-meaning Doms. It meant they cared about her. It meant they protected her and watched over her. She might be naïve, but that was what it meant to her sister and husbands. BDSM didn’t guarantee a happily ever after, but it should mean she got a say in whatever happened. Do you remember all the things that you loved in the first two books?  Those intense feelings and emotions and all that hot as hell sex that these three had?  Well we get even more in Redeeming Kyle and holy hot damn I was on the edge of my seat and reaching for my husband at the same time.  I threw my kindle, picked it back up, screamed in frustration and shed some tears.  I also wanted to smack some sense into Kyle and praise Talon for stepping up. Be prepared to feel a high range of emotions when you are reading Redeeming Kyle, you may even wonder if you need anxiety or depression medicines from the way your emotions will go from one extreme to another.  It was so damn good.

Zoey Derrick you have cemented me as a fan for life, the journey that you have taken us readers on with Addison, Talon and Kyle’s relationship is one that I won’t soon forget.  I am thankful that you allowed me the honor of not just reviewing these books but taking me on the journey with Addison, Talon and Kyle.  I anxiously await to see what you have planned for us next.

Kyle comes back and I lean into him, wrapping my hands around his arm, holding on for dear life. Kyle kisses the top of my head and my heart swells. No matter how bad he’s feeling, he doesn’t forget about me. If you thought what you read in the previous book, Claiming Addison was panty wetting hot then be forewarned because Craving Talon makes Claiming Addison look like a PG rated movie.  I am so glad that I was at home when I read this one because I am no prude obviously and I even blushed more than once and had me squirming in my seat to get some umm relief wishing my husband was home.

I love a good rocker series, hell I love a good ménage series even more, but combine the two genres together and this reviewer is in paradise.  Damn to be a fly on the wall when these three are going at it would be a dream come true.  I love how with each of the books so far we learn more about all three of them and are able to fall in love with them just a little bit more with the further we read.

If you are wondering if there is another cliff hanger?  Yes there is so please be prepared for that and either wait until the third book is released to read it or just dive right in and see why you will be craving Talon like the rest of us, you will be craving Kyle and Addison as well don’t you worry.  Zoey Derrick has a fan for life if these are the level of hotness we can expect from her in the future.
