Matthew is the oldest of the Graham siblings. After their
parents are murdered and the youngest turns up missing, Matthew takes over as
head of the family. He’s doing everything he can to keep the family together
and ranch going.
One thing Matthew does, is go to Houston to extend the
family ranch with a land claim. Only one problem, Matthew has to be married.
So, Matthew does what anyone else would do, he lies. He says his wife is
Hannah. Now he just has to find a wife, named Hannah and in 30 days. No problem!
This was a fun read. It started off with a bang and kept on
going. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t put it down. The
romance between Matthew and Hannah was sweet and very realistic to the time
they were living in.
They had to deal with so many things, sibling rivalry, the
missing youngest brother, threats on their land, dishonest neighbors, and of
course the biggest one of all, getting to know each other.
The suspense in the book was the right amount. It added to
the story and didn’t distract from the main focus of the story. The periphery
characters were awesome and only added to the story.
I’m looking forward to the others in this series. This is a
great historical cowboy romance.
