Blog Tour and Review: Kiss Across Chains

Kiss Across Chains continues the saga of Taylor, Veris and Brody. They’ve decided to stop jumping through time because it causes so many problems. But when they’re threatened by the queen of the vampires they have to make a jump, just three days into the past to fix it.

When they decided to jump back home, they end up in Constantinople, where Brody is a slave and human. Now, they have to get Veris, Brody and Taylor in the same place and get back to the present, without messing up their timelines.

This series is interesting series and provides us with a number of interesting conundrums.

When Brody and Veris travel through time, they inhabit their previous selves. When Taylor travels back, a whole new body is there for her. Yet, her body remains in the present. So, there are two Taylors. I’m extremely curious how that happens.

We also end up with a question about the space-time continuum. Yes, I’m embracing my inner Trekkie for this one! If they didn’t go back in time, how would that affect their present? Yet, if they do go back in time, they could annihilate themselves and alter the present. They would not only affect themselves, but others. But, if they didn’t travel back, would things have happened like they did in this present. See? It’s a conundrum!

Now, in most vampire stories, we only hear about their past lives. In this series, we get the pleasure of experiencing it with them. This is an interesting aspect to the stories.  No matter what time or place Veris, Taylor and Brody find themselves, they end up in love and feeling very passionate about that love!

Kiss Across Swords picks up about four years after Kiss Across Time leaves off. Veris, Brody and Taylor are living together and in love. Veris and Taylor make a jump back to a time before Veris was vampire. He’s human. Taylor and Veris interact with other around them and change something.

Back in the present, Veris runs off to Europe to sulk. While he’s off doing his Veris thing, Brody and Taylor jump to when Veris and Brody meet and commit to each other. But Veris isn’t like Veris. He’s different. All these jumps have finally resulted in a major catastrophe. Veris doesn’t want Brody and Taylor. If Brody and Taylor can’t get Veris to commit to Brody before they return to the present, their relationship will vanish and so will……something else.

This one was a little harder for me to get into than the first one. There was a lot storytelling in this one by Brody. But it was necessary to the overall story. We needed to know what happened the first time they met so that Brody and Taylor could fix it.

Once we got into the actual seduction of Veris, the story picked up. I like how the story was intertwined with events in history. I also like how these jumps have altered the present. Things they’ve done in the past have impacted what the present and future look like. So far, all the changes have turned out to be minor, but who knows, it could all go downhill in the blink of an eye.

Tracey Cooper-Posey did a great job of telling how they hid their vampirism from others. The modifications they made to their lifestyles in order to fit in with humans.

The romance between Brody and Veris burned hot. Once Veris was accepting of a human, the passion between Veris, Taylor and Brody was indescribable.

Now I’m off to read the third in the series. I’m still curious about why they can jump. I’m hoping we get that explanation soon!

Kiss Across Time is an action packed, dramatic story with hot alpha vampires and a feisty woman! What more could you ask for?

Taylor has been researching a poet that has been dead for centuries. There’s no positive proof that this man existed, but Taylor is sure of it. After a chance encounter, she’s fired from her university position. Then she hears this poets words being used in a heavy metal song. She finds a way to meet the band and from then on it’s GAME ON!

When she meets Brody, the band member who wrote the song, she also meets Veris. They’re lovers, have been for a VERY long time. They both want Taylor. When they kiss, they transport back through time and re-live memories of centuries past.

They have to contend with passion, attraction, time-travel and a vindictive vampire queen. We have kidnapping, fights, time-travel and hot ménage sex! But it’s not just Taylor with Brody and Veris, Brody and Veris are lovers and we get some M/M action in there as well.

Tracy Cooper-Posey managed to write a story that travels through the ages, literally. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t stop reading. This story is filled with action, romance, angst and two very hot alpha vampires.
