Release Blitz, Review & Giveaway: The Scars That Define Us By: M.N. Forgy

10246492_718038961605991_517409397957249601_n

The Devil's Dust MC has a list of new threats to the club's lifestyle. Dani, to prove her loyalty, is trying to embrace a part of herself that she never knew existed until now. A sinful beast lurking beneath her surface has been awakened and is ready to eliminate anyone that stands in its way. Looking at her stained hands, she rinses the blood from them. She resigns herself to innocence lost and welcomes her thirst for more blood. After a breathtaking turn of events, Shadow is looking at life in a different perspective. Not knowing who he can trust or who he can forgive has left him feeling desolate and alone. As Shadow is laying behind his rifle, he wonders if he can pull the trigger to eliminate the threat. He takes a deep breath and squeezes the trigger, the rifle recoil ignites the fuel that drives him. Retaliations will be required. Boundaries will be shattered. Redemption will be lost. Betrayal so deep, yet they still yearn for one another. Can Shadow overlook Dani’s transgressions? Can Dani overlook the mistrust that Shadow has placed upon her?

If you haven’t read What Doesn’t Destroy Us yet, then STOP!  There will be some spoilers from book one in this review and you have to have read book 1 to fully appreciate The Scars That Define Us

The Scars That Define Us picks up right where What Doesn’t Destroy Us leaves off and thank god for that because people that was one hell of a cliffhanger and I had almost broke my kindle when I originally read book 1.

When book 1 ended, Devil’s Dust thought that Dani was a rat, all because of her bitch mother.  Dani didn’t know what would happen to her and she really had no idea what would happen between her and Shadow.  Shadow has major trust issues and rightfully so, but while he wants to believe that Dani really is a rat and would always chose the club over some untrustworthy bitch it’s not so easy for him to automatically believe Dani when she says she didn’t rat.  Shadow of course goes and becomes a massive asshole towards Dani and does things to hurt her emotionally.

Dani is really unsure where she stands.  Her father is the President of Devil’s Dust but that doesn’t mean she is in the clear.  A rat is put down, plain and simple.  Luckily most of the club believes her that she didn’t rat them out.  Her relationship with Shadow is broken and she has no idea if it can be repaired.  She misses him, she loves him and she is in pain from the hurt he is causing her.  Dani maybe hurting but that doesn’t make her weak, oh hell no. This is still one tough ass bitch, she has Devil’s Dust in her veins and she isn’t afraid to let the Devil inside of her out when she needs to.

I was literally on the edge of my seat when I started to read and I did not stop reading until I reached the end .  My heart would race, feel like it was breaking from the angst and my temper would flare when Shadow would be an asshole and do shit to hurt Dani and also when stupid bitches or assholes would try to cause Dani pain.  I want book 3 right freaking now because the next book is bound to be just as good if not better that this one and to top this one that is saying a lot.  This does not end in a cliffhanger, the next book is a different couple so if any of you were worried about another cliffhanger  you can rest assured that it’s not.   M.N. Forgy is an author that I am going to be watching and one that you all need to read if you haven’t yet because she knows how to keep you wanting more of these bad ass men of Devil’s Dust!

Review: Anguish (Joker's Wrath MC #3) By: Bella Jewel

In the third book of the Joker’s Wrath series we get Mack’s book and everyone hold on tight and get ready for one hell of an emotional ride.

Mack is a Nomad of the Joker’s Wrath MC, adopted brother of Maddox, he comes home when the club needs him and leaves when they don’t.  Well, that is until he is faced with having an infant son he had known nothing about and one he doesn’t want.  To take care of the baby he hires a nanny, Jaylah.  What he doesn’t expect is the sexual tension between the two of them, her sassy mouth, and the confusion he begins to feel over his son.

Jaylah took the nanny position having no freaking idea what it took to be a nanny, but she needed money.  Needed it fast and had no other choice.  She didn’t begin to imagine she would be living with a biker who is an asshole 90% of the time, want him despite him being an asshole and that she would love that baby as her own.  Jaylah is running from trouble, trouble she got into because of her ex and trouble she needed to tell Mack about from the start but doesn’t.

When these two finally give in the sex between them is hot.  But will their relationship ever become more than just sex?  Mack’s past defines him, he doesn’t believe in love.  He had it once and it broke him, and no one could come close to what he felt for his son’s mother, or can Jaylah break that wall around his heart and get in?  This book made me cry at some points because Mack’s pain was deep, made me want to punch him in the balls at other times for being such an asshole, and kind of made me want to slap Jaylah and say seriously you find that happening disgusting without ever experiencing it?  And no I am not going to give that part away because I think once y’all read the book you will agree with me on that one ;)

I swear with each book that Bella Jewel writes she just gets better and better.  Anguish is one of my favorite books from her yet and the series isn’t done yet.  I absolutely cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us and not only with the Joker’s Wrath series but in general because this is one author I can’t get enough of!

Release Blitz, Review and Giveaway: Grit by Margaret McHeyzer

Jaeger Dalton wants the land that was promised to him. Phoenix Ward isn’t about to let anyone take Freedom Run away from her. He’ll protect what’s his. She’ll protect what’s hers. Jaeger is an arrogant ass, but he wants nothing more than Phoenix. Phoenix is stubborn and headstrong, and she wants Jaeger out of her life. Her father lost the family farm to gambling debts, but Jaeger isn’t the only one who has a claim to the property. Sometimes it’s best to let things go. But sometimes it’s better to fight until the very end.

Jaeger oh my man Jaeger, he was hilariously clueless when it came to what women wanted but that’s what makes you love him.  He’s bossy, protective, irritating, hard headed and perfect for Nix.  I honestly was worried a couple of times that Nix might castrate him and when Sarge was giving Jaeger relationship advice that he had no hope of ever getting it right because if Sarge he’s well, he’s just Sarge.  Oh just read the book and you will understand why I said that.

Nix was not going to stand back and allow anyone including Jaeger to walk all over her. I really appreciated the fact that while she would break down and cry, she was still a strong willed woman.  She had been dealt a shitty hand thanks to her father, but she didn’t let it bring her down.  And when she needed to step up to not just save herself but someone who she cared about she did what she had to do.

You never know when you pick up a book if it is going to be one you love, like, or hate until you start to read it.  For me, books about MC’s or bikers are hit or miss, I either really love them or I flat out can’t stand them.  With Grit I loved it.  It was hilarious and sexy and overall a damn good read.  I read this in one setting and didn’t want to put it down.  I really hope that we get a book about Sarge, because I really want to get inside of his head and pants hehe.
Excerpt

Sarge walks into the kitchen and looks between the coffee all over the fridge door, the smashed porcelain on the ground and me, chuckling.

“That went well,” he says and lets his own laughter rip from his lips. “Heard her shrieking like a banshee out in the yard.”

“She wants to go home.” I rub my hands over my eyes and try to relax, but knowing she’s pissed isn’t great for me.”

“Women are different,” Sarge says with a shrug.

“Tell me about it.”

“Sometimes it’s best to shut the fuck up and not fight ‘em.” Sarge sits in the chair that Nix was sitting in.

“You pussy-whipped?” I ask as I feel my eyebrows draw together in question.

“Hmmm.” He reverts back to normal Sarge. “Women wanna be told what to do, but you need to make it look like it’s their idea.”

“That’s fucked. She should just do what I say and be happy with it.”

Sarge shakes his head. “She’s right, you’re a dick.”

I don't do 'normal'. I've found that the more I write, the more I like being different to other authors. I write in first person, and I love to challenge a reader. I take the normal and switch it around. For me, I really enjoy getting a reaction from a reader. So if I can evoke an emotion (regardless of if it's the emotion the reader wants) then I figure that I've done my job as an author I want to be. I really quite revel in taking people out of their comfort zones and pushing them to read something different. My genre of writing is, well quite frankly, where ever my mind goes. I won't label myself because I don't like sticking to one genre. My goal with writing is just to take people away from whatever is going on in their lives, even if it's only for a split second. I'm a go with the flow sort of person and don't really take a course of action to get where I am going. I live in the moment and don't usually worry about tomorrow because whatever life is due to bring me, I'll be happy to accept. I love my family and friends and will help anyway I can if someone needs it. I really don't like people that are nasty just because they can be, I don't believe that's necessary, I mean life's hard enough as it is! I hope you enjoy my books, I've had a hoot writing them. There's more to come..... Til next time. M xx

Review: Five Miles (Gypsy Brothers #3) by Lili St. Germain

Another one bites the dust.  Another son dead by her hands, more pain for the bastard who deserves each second of heartbreak and pain that he feels.  Another piece of Sammi’s soul broken as well.  How much longer can her mission of vengeance continue before she is either found out by Dornan, or sent to hell by the devil himself for what she has done.
Sammi is breaking down both mentally and physically from all that she is doing.  She is losing weight, losing sleep and has almost lost her life.  Don’t even mention the other acts she has to perform just so Dornan doesn’t think she is behind the deaths of his precious sons.  She has to finish what she started, even if she ends up dead in the process.  It’s gonna be big and someone will go out with a bang, literally.  Even Jace, the one person who is the light in all the darkness is starting to push her away.  She never wanted to hurt Jace, she loves him still.

Jace is beginning to become suspicious of Sammi.  Since she has come around two of his brothers are dead, not that he cares about those bastards, but there is something about her that isn’t sitting right with him.  He may not be evil like the rest of his family, but he won’t hesitate either to protect himself.  Jace doesn’t want to see Sammi hurt, but is it because of his father or because he wants her for himself?

I cannot believe that we have to wait over a month for the next installment of the Gypsy Brothers series.  I so want to see who Sammi’s next victim will be.  If her and Jace will get closer or further apart.  If she will be able to continue her path of vengeance and destruction and keep her sanity in tack while she does it.  I am loving watching her pick off these pricks like it was a game of duck hunt, maybe that makes me just as sadistic as she is and if it does I am proud of it because these bastards deserve the same treatment if not worse for what they did.

Review: Six Brothers (Gypsy Brothers #2) by Lili St. Germain

One down, six to go.  Sammi has lied, cheated and began her payback on Dornan Ross.  His sons will pay for the sins of the father as well as their own and she can’t wait to watch the pain he feels destroy him.  That is, if it doesn’t destroy her first.
Sammi’s pursuit of vengeance against those who damaged her has just begun, but while she is acting out her revenge she is also being hurt at the same time.  She is fucking the father of her rapists and him being one as well.  Dornan is a sick fuck normally, add to it him grieving over the death of his favorite son, and he turns into someone the devil wouldn’t want to fuck with.  Sammi knows that she needs to watch her own back, protect herself as much as she can and get her vengeance before people figure out that it’s all her that’s bringing so much destruction to the Gypsy Brothers MC.

Jace is still unaware of Sammi’s true identity or plans, but he protects her as best as he can.  He likes Sammi, and tries to get her to leave his father.  He is her savior too many times to count, it’s almost like he is trying to make up for being unable to save Juliette.  Jace may be one of the nicer members and nothing like his brothers but you don’t want to cross him.
When the next brother comes to his death, suspicions on Sammi start and even Jace is looking at her differently.  She barely gets away with her life after she almost accidently dies along with the son she deemed her next victim.  Time is running out, one of these times she isn’t going to be able to con her way out of being suspected as the reason behind the deaths.

This series gets better and better and more mind fuck disturbing with every book and this is only the second book people!  I love this dark fucked up world that Lili St. Germain has created, I want to see each brother suffer as much as possible as well as Dornan.  The only one who I hope doesn’t get hurt is Jace, he is the good in a shit ton of bad, Sammi needs Jace, and I hope that by the end of this series they will be able to move forward with their lives together.

Review: Seven Sons (Gypsy Brothers #1) by Lili St. Germain

The biggest mistake Gypsy Brothers MC President Dornan Ross and his sons did was hurt Juliette after murdering her father.  Juliette, well now her name is Sammi because Juliette is dead as far as everyone in the Gypsy Brothers is concerned.  Sammi is out for revenge, and she will make Dornan pay by taking out his precious sons.  The only one who will be safe from her wrath will be Jace, he was her first love, tried to save her from what was happening but couldn’t stop it.  The question is, will Jace be able to forgive her when he finds out what she has planned and her true identity?

Juliette, aka Sammi has her plan in motion and this girl will do things that would make a normal person kill themselves before doing just to make these sons of bitches pay.  I love how she isn’t going to back down until each and every one of the brothers and Dornan suffer.  Maybe that makes me a sadistic bitch but these bastards deserve everything they get and more.  What she went through would have destroyed a weaker woman, and almost did destroy her.

I love how Jace is her saving grace in a way, even though he has no idea that Sammi is his first love, he tries to protect her from the bastard who is his father.  Jace is a member of the Gypsy Brothers MC but he is nothing like the rest of the members or more specifically his father and brothers who were born from Satan himself.
When the first brother is taken out, my first thoughts were holy fuck she isn’t messing around and I can’t wait to see what’s next.  Holy shit!!!  This series is going to be one that I won’t be able to get enough of.  This is not a happy ever after series, not even close.  It’s a “I will make you suffer you fucked up son of a bitch, I will not let you break me and I will get my revenge by blood” book and I LOVE IT!

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Knight's Sinners (MC Sinners #3) by Bella Jewel

Jackson is always considered the 'softie'. He's the first to help people out when they're in need. He's President of the Hell's Knights and is tired of being treated like a pushover. He wants to show the world how much of a sinner he can be.

Serenity has a dark past. Secrets haunt her and she has no way of escaping them. Hogan is the only family she knows and life with him is brutal. And it's about to get worse.

He sends her on a mission.

On a mission to destroy the Hell's Knights and the Heaven's Sinners.

Can she pretend with a club she doesn't know?

Or will she betray Hogan?

Excerpt:

“You want the truth?” I rasp, arching up as his fingers slide down my belly.

“Always.”

“Right now, in this moment…I want you to fuck me.”

He lifts his head and raises his brows. “Fuck you?”

“Fuck me. Dirty. Raw. Primal. I want you to fuck me.”

“Jesus,” he growls.

“Now, Jackson.”

“Bossy pixie,” he grins, leaning down and finding my hard nipple again.

“Please…”

“Back to begging, you know I like that.”

I mewl, and grip his jeans, tugging at them.

“Hey,” he says, gripping my hands and moving them. “You want fucking, I’ll fuck you darlin’. I’ll fuck you so hard you will forget how to breathe, but we do it my way. You want it raw, I’ll give it to you raw. You want it primal, that’s how it comes. Fucking ain’t slow and passionate. It’s hard and sweaty. So, if you’re sure, I’m goin’ to fuck you right about now.”

I bite my lip, and nod. He grins, and drops his head, capturing my lips again and kissing me so hard it takes my breath away. His tongue is hard, sexy and forceful. His body is flush against mine, and I can feel every, hard bit of him. He kisses me until we’re in a frenzy, just the way fucking should be. He kisses me until I’m clinging to him, tugging at his jeans. He kisses me until my shirt is in shreds on the floor, and he’s spreading my legs, both of us desperate and panting.
I forget where I am. I forget who I am.

Our Reviews:

In the third and final installment of the MC Sinners series we finally have Jackson’s book.  Jackson is the President of the Hell’s Knights.  He may be older but hot damn this man is still hot and sexy.  Let me repeat that, this man is HOT and SEXY!  He is also the one person that if you need him he will help you out any way he can.  Now, don’t take that as him being a pushover because he is anything but, he can be as ruthless as they come when he needs to be.  He has been hurt in the past and wasn’t looking for an old lady but the second Serenity enters the picture he is fighting what he feels.  He is older than she is, hell she is almost the same age as his daughter Addy, but he can’t fight his attraction for her.  He steps up to protect her, but when he finds out the truth of who she is will he be the ruthless man he can be or will what he feels for her be enough to see past her betrayal?
Serenity is the daughter of the Hell’s Knights and Heaven’s Sinners enemy.  Her father is cruel, abusive, and does not care who he hurts to get his revenge.  Serenity has no choice but to do what her father says even though doing so is breaking her heart.  She begins to fall in love with Jackson, she doesn’t want him or anyone in his club or Spike’s to get hurt by her father.  There is so much more to Serenity than her connection to her father, but can Jackson see past her father when he learns the truth?
The connection between Jackson and Serenity is instantaneous.  I loved how he was protective of her and wanted to take care of her when she was hurt. The sex between them smoking hot from the start and only got hotter each and every single time.   Serenity was perfect for Jackson as well.  Even though she was sent in as a way for her father to attack Jackson’s club she is more pure hearted even though she has lived through her own version of hell at the hands of her father.
When Jackson learns who Serenity really is and what other secret she shares, while his reaction is understandable, what happens next made me want to kick his ass myself.  I will admit in Hell’s Knights Jackson is my least favorite character, and for a while there I thought I was going to hate him yet again and then he proved why he is such a good man after all and redeemed himself in my eyes.
OMG when I first started this series I thought Hell’s Knights was going to be my favorite book because hello Addy and Cade were hot as sin.  Then I read Heaven’s Sinners and hello I wanted a Spike of my own, and thought ok this is going to be my favorite book of the series hands down.  Well. I. Was. Wrong.  Knight’s Sinners is my absolute favorite of this series.  I am so upset that Bella Jewel is not going to be continuing with these sexy as sin MC’s as I for one couldn’t get enough.  If you haven’t read this series, please add it to your TBR list cause I personally have loved this bunch of hot as sin MC’s.

OMG! Out of all the MC Sinners books thus far, this one is the hottest! This one definitely burned up my Kindle!

Serenity is Hogan’s daughter. Hogan is the person responsible for killing Spike’s wife, Cheyenne who is also Ciara’s sister. Hogan has also wreaked havoc on both MC’s. Let’s add in the fact Hogan is a mean SOB. He’s abusive and doesn’t care about anyone. So, he sends Serenity into Spike and Jackson’s compound to get information.

Jackson and his family being what they are, are suspicious, but they won’t turn away someone who needs help. They’re kind-hearted people who take care of those who need it. Don’t get me wrong, they’ll also kill anyone who crosses their path. They may be kind-hearted but they are by no means sweet, innocent men!

Serenity and Jackson have an instant attraction to each other. They both fight it but for different reasons. As Serenity grows closer to Jackson, she realizes they are not like her father and his gang. They’re good people. They just happen to do bad things a lot of the time. As opposed to Hogan who is bad people and does bad things.

Once Serenity and Jackson give in to their attraction, they burn up the sheets. It wasn’t just HOT it was OMG HOT!

Jackson and Serenity are great together. They both have challenges they have to overcome. We have some angst and tears when Jackson finds out who Serenity is. They have to work through it. Serenity also has the added bonus of dealing with her father and all his actions.

This is a rough romance. It’s dirty, not romantic by any stretch of the imagination and unbelievably good. I think this is my favorite MC Sinners book thus far. One thing to note about Ms. Jewel, she doesn’t hesitate to kill of her book characters. Even the ones you love. So, be prepared, Ms. Jewel doesn’t pull any punches and she makes sure it’s realistic.

There is a Christmas Novella coming out December 23rd. This will be in Muff’s POV. I can’t wait to see how the Sinners celebrate Christmas. Be sure to watch for it!

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Hells Knights and Heaven's Sinners (The MC Sinners #1 & 2) by Bella Jewel

HELL’S KNIGHTS SYNOPSIS

Sex. Who really knows sex? I mean, we've all had sex, great sex even but when you get down to the details, how many of us actually see sex for the raw, primal act that it is?
I thought I knew sex. I've had sex. Heck, I've felt lust. Once, I've even felt love. I thought I knew exactly what sex was.
Until I met Cade.
He's the meaning of sex.
He's a biker.
He's dangerous.
He's powerful.
He's dominant.
He wants me.
My world is about to change, for the better? I don't know. But here's my story, I hope you're ready for it because it's not the beautiful, heart wrenching story most people have to tell. It's passionate, forbidden, morally incorrect and downright, fucking beautiful.

REVIEWS

Warning: There are scenes of drug abuse, torture, rape, attempted suicide and extreme violence in this book.

Holy Shit! This is an intense story that will have you riveted from the very beginning. I picked up the book and finished it in one sitting. I could NOT put it down!

Addison’s story is gut-wrenching, heart-breaking and yet full of hope and promise. Addison has not had an easy life and that’s an understatement. She was abandoned by her dad at age 4, her mother is a drugged out whore whose pimp rapes Addison on a regular basis. The fact that Addison is relatively normal is a testament to her strength physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Cade is a badass biker whose history is sad and full of pain. He rude, crude and socially unacceptable! But once he meets Addison, all that rudeness and crudeness gets focused on Addison. He wants Addison and he’ll do anything to get her!

Addison is running for her life. She runs to her dad thinking he never wanted her. She runs thinking she can start over. She runs to find a new future. But things are not always what they seem. People aren’t what she thinks and she learns to trust and lean on others.

I loved Addison and Cade. They were wonderful together. He pushes her and she pushes right back. Add on top of all that Alpha-Male Badassness going on, the awesome sex and steamy connection to get one hell of a story that will keep you up!

But be warned. It’s not pretty. There’s no flowers, no candy and no romantic dates. It’s just down and dirty.
Addison has had a shit life to put it mildly.  She has done things to survive that most women would rather die than go through.  Her mom is a whore and an addict.  She has suffered so much.  Her father is the President of the Hell’s Knights and hasn’t been in her life since she was a little girl.  She is running from something but doesn’t share with her father or anyone else in the club all that is her past.  What Addison doesn’t know is that trouble is just around the corner waiting.

Cade is the Vice President of the Hell’s Knights and he is one sexy as sin biker.  He clashes with Addison from the moment she walks into the compound, but they have this chemistry that can’t be denied.  When they come together the sparks fly.  I loved how protective of Addison he got when he learned just a small bit of the hell she went through growing up.  He is as stubborn as a mule at times but I loved that about him.
Holy shit the sex between these two could set fire to your reading device especially their first time.  There is such an intense heat between them that, and when they both make mistakes, it is like adding gasoline to a blazing inferno.  These two are perfect for each other in more ways than one.  These two can heal each other and help to keep the demons away.

You get to see Addison’s past a lot throughout the book.  I really liked how the author did that, it makes you have a better picture in your mind of what she went through.  I would have loved to have some chapters in Cade’s POV, especially when he is first meeting Addison.

Hell’s Knights is the first book in the MC Sinners series and it is a good start.  You are introduced to some of the members of the Hell’s Knights as well as some from another MC.  If Ms. Jewel does this series correctly it will be one that fans of biker books will enjoy.  I look forward to book 2 to see how she is going to hook readers into falling for these bikers.

Spike knows tragedy, he knows that feelings are better left hidden. He refuses to put his heart out there again, it's a pain he's not willing to ever let himself feel. He's got a mission. He's got a goal. Nothing is going to get in his way. He will seek his revenge.

But then there's Ciara, the sister of his deceased wife. She's beautiful and damned determined to throw herself into his life in hopes they can reform an old friendship, but Spike won't hear of it, and Ciara refuses to give up.

Who will win the battle of wills?

REVIEW

Spike, the President of Heaven’s Sinners, has suffered a loss that he blames himself for and can’t seem to forgive himself.  When his wife died not only was he dealing with the loss, he was also dealing with her sister Ciara and her parents blaming him as well.  He has shut down emotionally and doesn’t ever want to love anyone again, or does he?  Spike and Ciara used to be best friends, until Spike broke her heart and friendship one night.  I felt bad for Spike on so many levels.  He lost his wife, his unborn child, and his best friend.  Ciara blamed him for a long time for her sister’s death, but she finally came to terms and tried to mend the past but Spike kept pushing her away and would be a complete and utter asshole to her, which was understandable.  Spike needed to work through his issues and not only accept forgiveness but to forgive himself as well.

Ciara regrets how she treated Spike after her sister’s death and just wants to make things right again between her and Spike.  They were once best friends, what he didn’t know was that she wanted him for her own but was scared to lose the friendship that they had in order to move forward in their relationship.  When you read about what happened between them, it made me want to slap Spike across his spikes (read the book and you will find out what I mean) because damn it he ruined so much when he did that.

When these two finally get together holy shit!   Spike, omg Spike, you my man are one smoking hot as hell biker.  There is a reason why his nickname is Spike and I for one would love to have firsthand knowledge of why he is called Spike.  The connection that they share is one that has been damaged and now is stringer once it was repaired.

For me Heaven’s Sinners was a more intense emotional read than Hell’s Knights but it was still a kick ass book.  Guilt, broken friendships, unknown love, forgiveness and finding the path back to your other half of your heart are what this book is about.  In my review for Hell’s Knights I stated that I hoped Ms. Jewel would do this series right and if so she would have a great series in the works.  In my opinion, she has.  I would recommend this series to my family and friends to read for sure.  I can’t wait to see whose book will be next.
