Book Tour: The Lies Between Us By M.N. Forgy

Cherry’s life growing up was nothing short of a nightmare. Having an abusive father forced her to fend for herself from an early age. Bruised and emotionally broken, she finally escaped, running straight into the comfort that Lip's arms brought. In the beginning, everything seemed to fall into place perfectly. He made her forget the messed-up ways of her life. But secrets can’t stay neglected. They have a habit of revealing themselves regardless of the consequences. Terrified, Cherry can’t speak a word or she’ll lose it all.

Lip is no stranger to the criminal life. Growing up among convicts, he wanted nothing more than to show his worth. He’ll do anything for the club without question, including serving six years in prison. But nobody could have predicted life’s plan. Rugged, tattooed, and wanting nothing more than to have Cherry, Lip is no longer the man whom Cherry remembers. After his release, he came out a beast with more secrets and lies than his cage could hold.

I will admit that while I was curious about Cherry and Lip’s story, I wasn’t sure if I would be super excited to read it.  I think it is because up until now they were almost a second thought, not someone in your face like the previous books have been.  I was so wrong to ever think that.  I have always said secrets and lies will come back to haunt you, especially if they are something that can destroy relationships.  The Lies Between Us was titled perfectly because the lies that are told are not only life changing but also heart breaking.  I literally was on the edge of my seat with my stomach flipping because you could feel the angst pouring out of your kindle and into your body.

Cherry’s past broke my heart, I understood why she kept the secret she did.  She had so much to lose and nothing to gain if it came out.  Her feelings for Lip were real, solid and honestly I don’t know any woman who would stick around for as long as Cherry did after Lip went to prison after only knowing him for such a short time.  Lip is an asshole when he is released, and when certain secrets come to light I wanted to kick him straight in the balls.  I hated it.  I hate lies.  I hate heartbreak and for a while there I hated Lip.  He does win me back over though so have no fear.

M.N. Forgy, woman, you blew me away.  Each book of this series has gotten better and better.  You know how to make your reader’s hearts shred apart before you repair the damage you inflicted.  I am an addict needing my next Devil’s Dust fix.  This is a series that needs to be on everyone’s TBR lists, it will keep you on that edge between heaven and hell and right before you think you are falling and will lift you up and show you why life and love may not always be easy but it’s worth fighting for.

After he leaves, I open his wallet, reading his name, address, weight. All of it.
“Phillip DeLuca.” I taste his name running off my lips as I trace my finger over his picture. He’s so handsome. He’s the kind of guy most people would be afraid of, but not me. I want to get to know him. Lost in a daydream, my car door is yanked open.
“Where the fuck is it, bitch?”
“What?” I shriek as I’m pulled out of the car and slammed forward onto the hot hood. “I don’t have anything!” I scream, trying to pull free. He shoves me back down on the hood. His hand tangled in my hair.
“Don’t think about moving,” he spits, his tone harsh. I roll my eyes and continue leaning over the hood. My heart slams against my chest in pure panic, and my hands shake. He pulls away and leans in to the car. Within seconds, he finds his wallet. Shit.
He peers at me with a fierce energy in his eyes. The intensity has me pulling off the hood, scared out of my mind.
“You have some balls,” he mutters, shoving his wallet back in his pocket. His tone is soft and tender suddenly. I turn my head and eye him angrily.
“Fuck you.” I cross my arms and lean my hip against the car. My choice of words more confident than I’m feeling.
He steps up to me and grabs my hips hard with both hands. My skin burns, and my mouth parts with desire. His brown eyes find mine, and his hands yank my body closer to his. I feel like all the air is sucked from my lungs as I search his dark eyes. Placing my hands on his solid chest to steady myself, my palms buzz with excitement.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” He looks me up and down and leans in close. “You’d like it if I pushed you over the hood of this car and fucked you ‘til your legs gave out.” His words feather against my lips, he’s so close. I hold my breath, willing my body to pull away, but I don’t move. Just when I think he’s going to kiss me, he grabs my hand and pulls it upward. I furrow my brows and watch as he pulls a pen from his back pocket, pulling the cap off with his teeth. He writes his number and the word ‘Lip’ on my hand.
“Call me. Don’t make me come find you, Cherry.”
“Cherry?” I ask out loud.
“Your swimsuit,” he yells over his shoulder before starting his bike. I look down at my white shirt noticing my cherry bikini peeking out from the bust line. A smile creeps across my face. I know I shouldn’t like him, but I kind of do. Driving past me, he winks and I swear I sigh like a damn fool.

Release Blitz: Joker's Wrath Box Set By Bella Jewel

From USA Today, International and Amazon bestselling author comes the complete Jokers’ Wrath series – four novels for only 99c!

Fall in love with them the same way the world did.

PRECARIOUS

In darkness, we find danger. In danger, I find Beau. Ash is a prison guard, she's tough, she's strong and she never backs away from a fight. She takes her job seriously, she takes her training seriously, and everything in her life goes as planned. Until the day he is brought into the prison. She'll never forget meeting Beau 'Krypt' Dawson for the first time. He's a member of the Jokers' Wrath MC and it is said he killed an innocent family in the middle of a cafe, in cold blood. Deranged. Crazy. Psychotic. All those words describe the infamous Krypt, but Ash suspects there's far more to the quiet man than meets the eye. Secrets are being hidden by the club, information is being kept under wraps. Krypt is silent for a reason. Ash is desperate to know that reason. Continually fighting, Krypt is transferred to a high security prison. Ash is in charge. She's always prepared, always alert. Not even her skills will stop the club from ambushing them and taking back Krypt. Only Ash ends up right in the middle of it. They take her, too. Now she's stuck with a Motorcycle Club who are determined not to let her go. She's too much of a risk. Until the situation can be sorted, they send her and Krypt into the mountains together....alone. The dark, sexy, handsome biker will crawl into her soul and embed himself there. Changing her life forever. An epic, dangerous love will be built on the foundations of darkness.

MELANCHOLY

"There's never been a time I've cared about anything more than my club. Today that all changed. Today I got you." Maddox is the President of the Jokers' Wrath MC. He's hard, he's determined and he's never had to give his heart over…until the day he found and saved Santana. Sassy and head-strong, she's given him a run for his money for a solid five years. Their tension has built and both of them have danced around a passion that's burning so deep in their souls, it's all-consuming. They want each other - they're just too stubborn to admit it. Heat, lust and sassy natures will have them fighting against what's real. She's feisty, he's stubborn. But everything will change the moment she gets her first taste of the rugged, broody biker. There's one problem with this story...Maddox has a secret. A secret he knows will crush Santana. It will take her life and spiral it out of control, sending them into a world of danger that will risk not only their lives, but everyone in the clubs, too. Will their love withstand the battle? Or will Maddox lose the only girl he's loved, forever?

ANGUISH

There are a lot of things in this world that are easy to escape from. Having a son you didn't ask for isn't one of them. Mack is a nomad. He likes his own space and he struggles with emotion. His past is grey and his future looks about the same. That is until his ex-girlfriend dies and his son is handed over to him. A two month old baby he didn't know existed. Until now. His world comes crashing down around him.

Desperate, he hires a nanny. Jaylah has gotten herself into some serious trouble, so when she sees the job opening for a nanny pop up, she jumps on it. Of course she's not a nanny, but she figures she can pull it off. I mean, how hard can it be? She's thrown into a world of diapers, hourly feedings and a whole lot of laundry. She's also introduced to the most rugged, gorgeous man she's ever had the pleasure of meeting. The best part, he's the baby's father. The worst part, he's a biker. Their sexual tension is huge, but he's a hard nut to crack. She'll get in, though. She makes it her mission to break through the wall Mack has built so high around himself. Her world is about to spiral out of control, and she's taking Mack along for the ride.

DESOLATION

Pippa.

The girl you all know as damaged. Quiet. Broken. She doesn’t fit in. Nothing in her world feels right. She’s trapped in a spiral of darkness that seems to be consuming her day by day, until she sees nothing but an empty, black hole. Her world is a broken place she can’t escape. She has people around her who matter. Who love her. But it’s not enough. Not enough to break her out of the bitter despair she lives in. Until Tyke.

He knows pain. He knows darkness. He’s sweet. He’s kind. But most of all…

He understands her. Combining their demons doesn’t seem like the best plan. Everyone is against them. He deserves better. She deserves better. They’ll never work. They’re too broken. Too damaged. It’s a destructive combination that will only end in heartbreak. He’s a biker. She’s a broken angel. But in their desolation, they will find peace. With each other.

Release Day Blitz: Illusive By Nina Levine

He’s been burnt by love.

Griff Hawkins keeps his pain locked away and the ghosts of his past buried even deeper. Three years ago, he chose the Storm MC as his family and accepted the ways of their violent world. These days, he lives his life with one rule – don’t get attached to anyone but his club.

She longs to be loved.

Sophia Barnes aches to know real love, and lives her life with arms wide open, ready to embrace the possibilities that come her way.

When Griff’s past is exposed and his place in the club is jeopardised, he fights for his family the only way he knows how, regardless of the consequences. That is, until he meets the woman who brings him to his knees, giving him something to lose.

Can they teach each other to leave the sins of the past behind or will Griff's demons dictate their future?

I am going to be straight up here. I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to read a book about Griff; I obviously understand he did what did for a reason in the previous books but I just never got that OMG I must read his book feel. Well I was so very, very wrong to ever feel that way because let me tell you something. I FUCKING LOVE GRIFF! I should have never doubted Ms. Levine’s vision because not only is Griff tough, he is smoking hot, a sexy alpha Dom, but he is also a sweetheart. Shh don’t let that part get out because he may come after me if it does.

Griff’s past isn’t a pretty one, but he has not only found his family in Storm, he is loyal to them period. He has secrets from before, ones that once you know the reason behind them are understandable. I felt so many emotions when I read of Griff’s past, including anger, sadness, and the need for revenge. Griff is far from perfect, he is an asshole, but he is so much more.

Sophia’s past isn’t pretty either. She made me want to just hug her and tell her she is loved. She needed someone like Griff in her life. Mind you it took a while for him to open his eyes to see that he needed a Sophia in his just as much. Gotta love stubborn men. Sophia was sweet, sassy, and the perfect match for Griff.

I really do love how we get to see the couple from the past and that their stories aren’t finished yet. I really do like knowing that just because a book has ended that the story hasn’t. In real life, our lives don’t end after so many chapters, it continues on until the day we die, even after that. And that is why I love this series, because it shows that relationships aren’t easy, that life can change our relationships, both for the better or for the worse but if you have a strong partner that you can get through anything. I can’t wait for the next Storm book to release, because this is one series that continues to stay strong.

His strokes were slow and rhythmic, designed to work a woman to a crazed state. I should know because he was slowly taking me there. He didn’t want me to come yet, but that was getting harder and harder with each new round of pleasure. Each time a wave crashed over me, my muscles threatened to let my body collapse onto the bed. I wasn’t sure how much longer I could hold myself up. And not to reach out and touch him? That was a whole other level of how-the-fuck-will-I-make-it-through-this? He pushed another finger inside so I now had two delivering me heaven. I writhed under his touch, my muscles seriously beginning to tire. My eyes squeezed close and my fingers curled into a ball, wanting desperately to cling to something, but unable to latch onto anything the way they were tied. The orgasm that continually tried to shatter me, moved dangerously close until it reached the point where I thought I could no longer fight it. “Griff, I can’t…I can’t do this anymore.” I panted as my muscles gave way and my body dropped to the bed. His fingers left me, and in what felt like a split second, he had me flipped onto my stomach, and he’d moved so his knees were on the bed, either side of my legs. One of his hands landed on the bed beside me while he placed the other one on my back. He growled into my ear, “Do you know what happens when you don’t obey me, Sophia?” My breathing had turned into pants and my muscles were screaming at me, all while my pussy pulsed with need. “No,” I managed to get out, even though I struggled to form a thought while my mind tried to deal with all my senses at once. “When you don’t do as I say, I get to punish you, in any way I want.”

Review & Excerpt: The Darkest Flame By Ch

Vaughn O’Keefe has been part owner of the Hog’s Den for years. Privy to plenty of Disciples of the Road business, he’s never been more ruffled as when a new recruit named “Smoke” walks through the door. Something about the man gets his blood pumping, but he knows to keep his preferences under wraps around the club.

“Smoke” Callahan has done a couple of rehab stints and is finally clean, thanks to help from the Disciples. He’s on the right path and isn’t about to get sidetracked, no matter how much the guy who manages the bar gets beneath his skin. Besides, his last relationship with a man left him scared, alone, and with a nightmare of an addiction.

When the Hog’s Den becomes shorthanded, and Smoke is ordered to help out the one man he can’t have, his longing for the bartender reaches blistering proportions. Vaughn figures a night together should be enough to satisfy their mutual attraction. But neither banks on just how scorching hot it might be.
As Smoke’s past unravels and the one person he hopes never to lay eyes on again messes with all he holds sacred, it’s time to involve the Disciples. Problem is, he’ll have to risk his membership, his heart, and his own hide to keep everyone he cares about safe

I was so excited to begin The Darkest Flame, because it meshed two if my favorite genres together, MC and m/m.  Now most of you know that in an MC a m/m relationship isn’t always accepted and welcomed with open arms.  These guys are bikers for a reason, not just because the leather cut makes them look hot (that’s my own personal opinion lol).  They are tough, take no shit, fuck a ton of women and not blink an eye at sex in the open type of guys.  Am I stereotyping here a little, okay a lot?  Yes I am because that is what most of us think when we think about what bikers are.  Now add into the equation two guys who are bi but honestly don’t want to be between a woman’s thighs, but in each other’s?  It makes you stop and not only appreciate the extremely hot picture that it makes, but it makes you think if that could happen without backlash from the “brothers”.

I am going to try not to give away to many details because I want you to make this journey into the world of The Darkest Flame on your own so you can see why, even as I am typing this, I can still close my eyes and picture Smoke and Vaughn having some smoking hot sex.  Pun intended.  This wasn’t an easy journey for these two, there is drama, danger, and wondering if they are found out would that make them outcasts in the club or would they be welcomed and accepted?

The Darkest Flame had a couple of minor issues that I am not going to point out in my review because honestly they aren’t anything that ruined my enjoyment of the book, but while the book may not be perfect in all aspects, what it is, is a fucking sexy as hell read that made me wish I could be invisible in any room Smoke and Vaughn are getting it on in.  Hell I’d even provide them to lube if need be.  Okay back to seriousness.  This is the first book by Christina Lee that I have read, but I can guarantee that it will not be the last.

I grabbed my hold of keys and tried not to slam my way out the door. I didn’t know why the hell I was so rattled by Vaughn tonight. I mean, I had been every night, but something about the idea of him being with somebody else right in front of my eyes, made me crazy with need. Need that it felt like only he could fulfill.

As soon as I got to my bike I realized I’d left my cut in the break room. I stood outside attempting to rein in my uneven pulse. I didn’t know what the fuck had come over me.
Breathing more steadily, I stepped back through the door only to find the bar empty. I’d just grab my leather vest and leave him in peace.

“I forgot my…” I stopped in my tracks because Vaughn stood motionless in the middle of the floor, veins bulging in his neck, as if he’d implode at the slightest touch.
He was always moving and talking with a restless energy in this bar so his stillness was a bit startling.

“Hey.” I gingerly placed my hand on his shoulder. “I’m sorry if I—”

There was instant recoil, as if he were attempting to contain the vortex of tension between us by vacuuming it in through his skin.

He twisted toward me, his eyes latching onto mine, right before I was slammed against the door.

The wind was practically knocked out of me as Vaughn sank his weight against my smaller frame. We were groin to groin, heartbeat to heartbeat.

“Fuck, Vaughn, you’re—” Heaving breaths surged through my nostrils. “I was going to suggest a truce.”

“Yeah?” he mumbled, his gaze fastening on my mouth. “What sort of truce?”

Virtual Tour: Make You Burn By Megan Crane

Meet the Deacons of Bourbon Street, bad boy bikers who are hell on wheels—and heaven between the sheets. Megan Crane revs up an irresistible new series co-written with Rachael Johns, Jackie Ashenden, and Maisey Yates.

Sean “Ajax” Harding’s oaths are inked into his skin. Once second-in-command of the Deacons of Bourbon Street motorcycle club, he left New Orleans to protect the brotherhood, and only the death of his beloved mentor, Priest Lombard, could lure him back. Walking into the old hangout gives him a familiar thrill—especially when he gets an eyeful of the bar’s delectable new owner. A wild ride with her is just the welcome Ajax needs. Then he realizes that she’s Priest’s daughter, all grown up and totally off limits.

Sophie Lombard loved her father, not his lifestyle. She’s done with bikers . . . until Ajax roars into town—arrogant, tough, and sexy as ever. And although he treats her like the Catholic schoolgirl he once knew, Sophie’s daydreams tend to revolve around sin. With the very real possibility of heartbreak looming, Sophie knows better than to get too close to an outlaw. But every touch from Ajax is steamier than the Louisiana bayou—and heat like this may just be worth getting burned.
When I think of an MC romance, the first thoughts that come to my mind are that it will be a little dark, gritty and have the I don’t give a fuck attitude that we have all come to except from our bikers.  Now don’t get me wrong, I love a sweet MC romance but I think the true MC romance readers have missed the naughtier, grittier bikers that have us blushing (well not me I don’t blush) with their dirty mouths and wet between our legs at the same time.  Make You Burn is exactly that.  It is gritty, it’s hot, it has a biker who is the epitome of an asshole and the daughter of a biker who may want to deny she is a true biker bitch but that is exactly who she is.

Ajax, don’t call him Sean unless you want your face rearranged, is the VP of the Deacons of Bourbon Street.  He returns back after being exiled ten years prior when the man who was more like a father to him than his own ever was, dies.  Priest also happens to be the father of Sophie, the biker bitch who hates bikers.  From the second he lays his eyes on her again he knows he wants her but in typical biker fashion doesn’t want to admit that a bitch has his attention more than business at hand.  Ajax will make you mad while at the same time make your panties wet.

Sophie is tough, she knows the biker life.  Her father was the President of the Deacons Of Bourbon Street and raised her to know the life and her place in it.  Thing is, that’s not the life she wants and she sure as hell won’t let Ajax bully her around, no matter what even if the sexual chemistry between them is explosive.  I give her credit, she doesn’t just take Ajax’s shit, she gives it right back to him.

This is the first book in this series and it looks like the next book has a different author, but if this is how Megan Crane will be writing in the future you can count on me to read it.

“My daddy told me I could dress up like a drag queen and wander the streets of the French Quarter over his dead body,” Sophie Lombard said as she tugged off the glittery mask— and there was no doubt about it, goddamn it, it was her. “So it was now or never, really.”
Ajax knew that face, though he took the stripper cosmetics and the hooker lashes as another insult, when the face he remembered had been scrubbed clean and sweet and pure. And when she peeled the acrobatic headdress from her head and sent it skidding a few feet down the dull sheen of the bar, her long, dark, wavy hair tumbled down past her shoulders, a thick and shining rope of it he wanted to wrap around his hands while he took her—
Jesus Christ.
He stared at her, willing this to be some kind of homecoming-inspired hallucination, but no. He was sober at the moment, he hadn’t touched the funky stuff in years, and this was Sophie Lombard all grown up. She was a lush little package, all taut curves and a belly ring, just like a couple of his preferred wet dreams. She had the most perfect set of plump, round tits he’d ever seen, even with the stupid tassels jutting from them, and they definitely should not have been on display for the entire fucking city like that. Or ever. What the hell was the matter with her? More to the point, he absolutely could not fuck her in the Priory toilets, no matter what bad decisions his cock was agitating for even now.
A man did not fuck the daughter of his beloved father figure when said father figure’s body was barely cold. Even if the daughter in question was dressed for a long night on the pole and had basically just advertised that she was for sale to the better part of New Orleans.
Not in the toilets, anyway.
When she only slipped onto a bar stool, making no attempt to cover herself or change what passed for her clothes, Ajax decided he’d had enough. It was high time he took control of this shit.
Before he lost what was left of his.
“Hey, Sophie,” he said. He didn’t have to raise his voice to command the attention of the entire bar. He saw her stiffen like she recognized his voice and he couldn’t deny that he liked that. He was never meant to go unnoticed, not here. Not in the only place he’d ever belonged. “Is that what you’re wearing to the funeral?”
She turned toward him slowly. So slowly he had a lifetime or two to remember her as a little girl. Sophie of the big, wide eyes and sparkly little laugh. Sophie in thick dark braids and skinned knees. Sophie, who Priest would have died to protect, which meant any of the brothers would have done the same. Sophie, who had never been meant for a sticky dive bar and a pair of pasties, no matter how hot she looked in both.
Sophie, who glared at him down the length of the bar with a notable lack of the respect Ajax was used to receiving, especially from soft, breakable females who usually purred and got silly when they took a good look at him.
“Oh, hey there, Sean,” she replied after a long moment, her green eyes cool and haughty, like she was a goddamned queen instead of a half naked girl with a death wish, throwing around names she knew better than to use. “Long time no see.”

“Call me that again,” he suggested, in what he considered a friendly manner given the insult she’d just thrown at him, though he wasn’t entirely surprised when Tulane backed away from him in a wide-eyed rush, “and I might be the last thing you ever see.”
“Let me guess,” she replied, “you spent all this time in charm school?” Was it his imagination that she sat taller on her stool, then arched her back just enough to make those tits stick out a little further? Like she was trying to fuck with him? “Between you and me, you might think about asking for your money back. I don’t think it took.”
He forgot who she was for a moment, forgot the respect she was owed because of her father. He grinned at her instead, the way he would any other bitch who got in his face like that, flinging down challenges from across a public bar like he was some dickless frat boy. Ajax had always had a pretty face. No one tended to notice it much after the first time he grinned at them like that, though.
“No need to resort to all this flirting, baby,” he told her softly. “If you want to hop on and ride my dick, just ask.”
Sophie smiled at him, and it was not a nice smile. It was all the proof he needed that she wasn’t that sweet little girl he remembered, and he was a sick fuck, because it fascinated him to see she had her father’s fangs when she felt like showing them. He wanted them sunk in his neck. He wanted her to draw blood.
He wanted her, bad.

Megan Crane is a New Jersey native who had great plans to star on Broadway, preferably in Evita, just like Patti LuPone. Sadly, her inability to wow audiences with her singing voice required a back-up plan. Accordingly, she graduated from Vassar College and got her MA and PhD in literature from the University of York in England. She wrote her doctoral dissertation on AIDS literature, mostly so she could wallow in her obsession with the remarkable multimedia artist David Wojnarowicz and her idol, the bitter and hilarious David Feinberg. After many years in the rain and subject to the whim of seasons, she followed the sun to Los Angeles, where she lives with too many pets and an artist named Jeff. She is still plotting her Broadway debut.
