Cover Reveal: Servicing The Target By Cherise Sinclair

Servicing the Target   A Masters of the Shadowland Novel: A discharged Army Ranger, Ben considers his job as a BDSM club security guard to be an excellent hobby. He’s never been tempted to join in. But everything changes when the notorious Mistress Anne inadvertently reveals the caring heart concealed beneath her Domme armor. Now, he’s set his sights on the beautiful Shadowlands Mistress. Maybe he’d considered himself vanilla, but she can put her stiletto on his chest any day, any time. He’ll trust her delicate hands to hold his heart. And if she wants to whip his ass on the way to an outstanding climax, he’s just fine with that too. Sure, he knows she likes “pretty boy” slaves. And he’s older. Craggy and rough. And six-five. Minor hindrances. The mission is a go.

BDSM Blog Hop & Giveway!

After Kari breaks up with her date during Beginner’s Night at Club Shadowlands, she’s given the option to continue with an experienced dominant. Despite her steamy fantasies about BDSM, the inexperienced schoolteacher plans to simply observe. Yet under the unyielding hands of Master Dan, she not only participates, but gives him everything he asks for. There is nothing she can hide from him. Not her passion.or her love.

Still mourning the death of his wife, Master Dan avoids getting involved with women and he never takes a sub twice. But this modest little beginner is such a sweetie, one night is far from enough. As he plumbs her responses, taking her ever deeper into the world of BDSM, the gentle submissive begins to show him how barren his life has become and what a dark citadel he’s made of his heart.

During their three nights together, the teacher will learn to submit…can she teach the master to love?

Hmm...why did I chose this book to giveaway? Maybe because it's one of my most favorite BDSM books yet to date! I absolutely adore Cherise Sinclair's Shadowlands series, especially Master Dan's book. There is something sinfully wicked in Master Dan. Well, all Cherise's Dom's are wicked, but Master Dan has a hold on me that I hope never lightens up. There is his fierce gaze and the strength in his hands that get me every time. I loved the way Dan held Kari in DARK CITADEL. It was so tight and secure and very erotic that while I was reading it, it left me breathless and eager for more. One of my favorite lines from this series is from this book but it's by Nolan. Kari is looking for Dan at the club and she can't find him. Nolan turns to Kari and says, 'I'll top you tonight.' I just about died when I read that.

If you haven't read the Shadowland series, well, I feel sad for you because you don't know what you're missing!

Lean on Me by Cherise Sinclair book 4

4 Stars

From the moment you meet Master Cullen, there is something seriously alluring and seductive about him. You want more...much, much more of him. When Master Cullen told Kari he'd top her in the second book, Dark Citadel, I was done. The phrase 'hooked, line and sinker', could easily describe how I felt about him.

"I'll top you tonight."
-Master Cullen to Kari

Andrea has a bit of a troubled past. She's been on her own since she was young and doesn't need help from anyone. She has loved and lost at a young age. Andrea's friend was able to pull some strings for her so she could join the Shadowlands club, an exclusive BDSM club. The problem is, she wants to submit but has trouble submitting to just anyone. She needs someone strong and tough, who can take her as is, not want her to change on the outside or the inside. Andrea has a sharp tongue, which is completely unacceptable for a dom, yet it brings so much fire to the story. It was a delight to see her speak her mind...then be punished.

I'll be quite honest. Master Cullen didn't move me as much in his novel as he did in the other books. His story was great to read, don't get me wrong, I liked it a lot, but Master Dan still has my heart...so far.

Cherise Sinclair's Shadowlands book are much more then most would think. When you hear BDSM books, you think sex. Well....yes, there will be sex. Lots of hot smoking, steaming, erotic sex. But there's so much more to her stories too. You begin to feel a connection to the characters, as if you've known them for years. These books won't make you cringe or hold your breath. They'll make you feel many different emotions as well as beautiful. They did for me at least. You'll want to hold on with a firm grip to this tight little knit family and not let go. I call it a family simply because they are so open and honest with each other; accepting each for who they are. And I loved every minute of it.

A favorite scene of mine-

Stopping. Even as she whimpered, he smacked her leg one more time. "Why?"
She couldn't think., everything burned and throbbed as need churned inside of her. He wouldn't let her move. He held her...he hurt her...he kept her safe...
"Why Andrea?"
"He isn't you." The words burst from within her. "I trust you." Her head bowed as she whispered, "I only want you."

We also meet Master Marcus in this book. All I can say is...WHOA! I can not wait to read his book!

On a side note: I still don't understand the whole public play thing. It's just not my thing. But I feel it fits this series just right and therefore I am...ok with it...now.
If you have a problem with it, I suggest you just skip right over it and keep on reading. Of course you'll miss some hot and steamy scenes, but as long as you keep reading, then you're all good.

Dark Citadel by Cherise Sinclair book 2

This is the second book in the Shadowlands series. While I did read this book first (on accident), I have to say I am so glad I did. I LOVED this book, which is surprising to me since it's not my normal cup of tea. I think if it wasn't for me reading Master Dan first, then I wouldn't have been so eager to read the rest of the books. Master Daniel is something else....the way he held Kari...so secure and tight in his arms....mmm...mmm...mmm...delicious!

I have a friend on goodreads that sometimes says what I'm about to say. I've never felt the urge to say it before, but after reading this book I do. So here goes:

RAWR!!!

If only I could make it bigger to show how I really feel about this book.

Favorite line- "I'll top you tonight."

Breaking Free by Cherise Sinclair book 3

I think when the books have woman who come with baggage, are the ones I like the best. They're more emotional and intense for me, which is just what I like in my reads.

Beth, on the run from her sadistic, psycho husband, is a submissive to the core. She has been gone for a few months now and thinks she may have finally found a place to call home...for now. Needing to be dominated and feel like a woman, she finds the bdsm club, Shadowlands and joins. It's the only place she can be free. The problem is, after all the torture and abuse that was dealt to her from her husband, she is having problems submitting to the bigger, stronger Doms. After weeks of no progress, Master Z tell her she has one last chance to make it work and assigns Master Nolan, an ex-military man to her. Nolan is everything she does not want. He powerful, aggressive, and doesn't take no for an answer. Yet he's gentle and in control and not to mention, attractive. But maybe that's what she needed all along....

I am really enjoying this series much more than I thought I ever would. This level of bdsm is so out of my comfort level, but I can't stop reading them. Cherise Sinclair is a Master...or should I say a Mistress. ;) You can't help but love the overpowering men. There is a soft side underneath all that domineering exterior, too. The only problem I have is the public play and sharing. Some things are meant to be kept private, and for me, sex is one of them. There is no need to put woman on display for anyone to touch and see. The woman clearly did not want it....at the time. But, that seems to be the theme here for this series. I guess I'll have to over look that in the rest of the books since I will definitely be continuing the series.

I'm so glad I read the second book first to this series. Even though I did enjoy this book, it just was not as good as the second book. I find that happens a lot with series though. The first books are never up to par with the rest, and that's ok.

While I am still new to this genre, I have to say, this was a very smooth, easy going book to read. It was pleasant and believable and left me wanting more. I wish I had found this author in the beginning of my foray into bdsm. It would have made it much more pleasurable for me. The only thing I didn't like was how the woman walk around naked and exposed to so many people. It seems like that will be happening with all the books in this series since they take place at Shadowland Club. I just can't do that.
