It’s on those journeys that Fate finds us and takes us where we need to be… Without a second glance we can be taken away from things we know… people we love and given a new life...
One that can change us… save us…
What would you do if Fate dropped you at a crossroads?
Would you go back?
Or would you run like hell the other way?
Hanging Pawns is
the second book in the Fate series but in a way it should have been a prequel. It
will help answer some questions you may have had when you finished reading Adjournment. Now
don’t misunderstand that statement, it is not a prequel but could have been,
yeah I think I may be getting a little bit confusing so I shall move on.
This time we have the story of Mea and Josh, who we first
meet in Adjournment. I love a sweet and sassy heroine, and Mea
fits that description perfectly. She
didn’t have the best life, but walking away from it and finding people like
Morgan and Molly made her true sassy, sweet and funny self come forward. Josh, all I am going to say about Josh is
that he is the perfect match for Mea and I loved him.
At times you will find that the first book in a new series
is amazing and then the following books either don’t measure up or are just a
disappointment all together. This is not
the case with Hanging Pawns, if
anything if is even better and just proves that Emersyn Vallis isn’t a one book
wonder, but an author that we all need to keep on our radar because I am seeing
great things in our future if the rest of the books in this series continue to be this addicting.
