Liam
“Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows
his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using
whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has
a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he
saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her. Em has lived her entire life in
the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s
president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in
her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a
good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat
her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam,
and he’s The One. Or so she thinks.
Em didn’t take any shit, she held her own. Hell, if she wouldn’t have I would have been disappointed, she is Picnic’s daughter afterall. She didn’t let Liam get away with his shit, but she also wasn’t a massive bitch to him and she really should have. I loved how she wasn’t going to just take a certain someone blowing her off, then wanting her when she found herself an Old Man. I wish more heroines were more like Em was, soft but could be a ball busting bitch when provoked or hurt.
What can I say about Devil’s Game? Let’s just say that I fucking loved it! I have read it twice since receiving my ARC and I will guarantee that I will be reading it again in the near future. This has quickly become my favorite book of this series so far, and Ms. Wylde has cemented this reader as a fan for life. I am anxiously awaiting Picnic’s book this fall, but for now I will get me some more of a certain sexy Devil’s Jack and hang on for the ride.
