Indigo, ”Indy”
is on the run from her past. She knows
that it is only a matter of time that it will catch up with her if she stays in
the States. She plans on starting her
life over in England, maybe there she will be safe. While on her way there, the yacht that she is
on catches fire and she and Eric, her best friend, have no choice but to
abandon ship and pray that someone will come and rescue them. When help arrives, it’s not who they want to
help them, it’s a ship of pirates and not the arrr matey ones but the real
dangerous thing. Either way their fate
isn’t looking good, either die at sea or possibly die at the hands of the pirates,
even if the captain is sexy as hell.
Hendrix, the
pirate captain, is dangerous, an asshole and oh so sexy. He plans on paying off a debt with Indigo,
what he doesn’t plan on is what he starts to feel for her while she is on his
ship. He is mean and will not take any
shit from anyone and proves how far he will go to stop her from trying to
escape. There is more than just the
rugged and tough exterior to Hendrix, but will Indy be able to see the other
side to him? Will he pay the debt he
owes, or will he do whatever it takes to keep Indy with him?
I was surprised
how much that I really liked this book, it is different than what I thought it
would be and is something I wasn’t sure I would enjoy. I didn’t know about the whole pirate theme
and how it would play out, but it works and honestly it has a pirate/MC feel
too it, it wasn’t like how I thought it would be. I couldn’t put it down. I
loved the interactions between Indy and Hendrix from the start, you could feel
the sexual tension from the first moment they had alone. He could be such a douchebag to her and then
do something to make me love him all over again. Indy was a survivor and she planned on doing
what it took to survive her time with Hendrix, what she didn’t plan on was how
she would feel for him. All I am going
to say is I want to recreate that waterfall scene in my life, holy shit that
was hot!
I was a fan
of Bella Jewel before I read this book, and now I am an ever bigger one. She makes you fall in love with her series
and the characters in each book are ones that you won’t forget. Fans of her MC Sinners series will love this
one as well, and should put this on their TBR list. I
cannot wait for the second book to come out so I can have another dose of these
sexy as sin pirates!

Excerpt:
“Stand up,
this will be easier if you do,” he orders. He stands, taking me with him, and I
lose my balance when I accidentally try to lift the wrong foot. Hendrix reaches
out, taking my shoulder and goes to take a step forward to steady me, only to
realize he’s wrapped the rope around his ankle, and is now tangled too. As if
in slow motion, we topple backwards. I scream, and land with a thump on the
ground as the ropes surround me. Hendrix lands over me, but manages to put his
hand down to stop me taking the force of his body. He’s pressing into me in
places he really shouldn’t be.
“Fuck,” he
curses, tugging his hand to try and untangle it.
“How the
hell did you get tangled too?” I cry out, squirming.
“Stop
fuckin’ squirming like that,” he orders, and I stop as soon as I realize why
he’s asked me to. He’s hard. My God, he’s hard.
“You’re…you’re…”
“I’m fuckin’
hard because you’re squirming against me. I’m a man. Get over it.”
