Sherri Hayes has a way of building a suspenseful story that
will keep you guessing. Behind Closed Doors is one of those stories. Elizabeth
Marshall moves to a new town to start over. She just wants to forget what
happened 6 months ago. She wants to go where no one knows her and no one knows
what happened.
Christopher Daniels is done with women. He doesn’t want to
deal with the emotional turmoil that comes along with women. But when he meets
Elizabeth he starts to reconsider that. Once she gets threatened, he takes
matters into his own hands to ensure she’s safe. But how will he handle having
Elizabeth in his hands?
The romance between Christopher and Elizabeth was sweet.
Once they finally got past their hang ups about the opposite sex, I fell in
love with them. They never went out on a “proper date” but they had plenty
of quality snuggle time and lots of sex
in all sorts of places!
I really enjoyed the suspense in the story. It added an
extra bit of flair to the romance between Christopher and Elizabeth. I wasn’t
100% sure who was terrorizing Elizabeth, there were so many different people it
could have been. That being said, I wasn’t completely surprised by the guilty
party. I started to figure it out towards the end of the book.
I loved meeting all of the Daniels brothers. Their stories
should be interesting and I’m looking forward to reading them!
