Cora is a smart ass, does not take shit from any of the guys
at the shop and is who helps to keep all those bad boys at the shop under
control. Cora is hiding her pain
though. She may be the first to want her
friends to be happy and offer help, but for her the broken heart she still has
keeps her from trying for her own happily ever after. She wants the perfect guy, which we all know
that no one is perfect, and refuses to settle for anyone less. When she and Rome go head to head about him
being an asshole to everyone, no one thought that those two would ever get
along. Too bad Rome isn’t her perfect
guy because his is one hot ass man and the sexual attraction between the two of
them is off the charts.
Rome has been discharged from the military and isn’t too
happy about it. He has returned home
broken. Rome is suffering from PTSD from
when he was injured during a deployment.
He is still pissed off at his family for how they treated Rule, the
secret that Shaw kept from everyone, and the fact that he no longer is the one
looking out for his little brother. He
is drowning his problems in a bottle, but a wake up call changes everything.
Can Cora help heal him while at the same time he show her that while he may not
be the perfect man he is perfect for her?
I love Cora, she is such a smart ass and spitfire and
refuses to let any of those bad boys she works with boss her around. She has such a huge heart and its been broken
by the first guy she loved and it still hasn’t healed. I felt for Cora, she
knew that she wasn’t going to just settle for any guy, and for that I cheered
her on because she deserved to be loved and happy.
Rome, my poor Rome.
He feels like because his brother never told him his secret that he let
him down in some way. He comes home from
the war a broken man, not so much physically but mentally. He has PTSD and that is making everything a
lot harder. He knows that he is being a
total asshole to those who love him but he just doesn’t care until someone
shows him the way to start to heal.
Cora and Rome are exactly what each other needs. The heal each other and fit together
perfectly even though they are total opposites.
The sex between these two is enough to set the sheets on fire but it is
so much more than just sex. I seriously
could not get enough of Cora and Rome.
I loved Rome. I will
be honest, this is my favorite of the series.
I liked Rule and I liked Jet but I love Rome and for me is the best of
this series so far. PTSD hits home for
me, my husband suffers from it. It is
not only hard on the person who suffers from it but the ones who love them as
well. Jay Crownover portrayed what too many of our service men and women suffer
from and shows that it is real and nothing to be ashamed of. I connected so much more with Rome and Cora
and maybe that is why. I am curious to
see how the rest of the Marked Men series is going to be played out, because
ladies these are some fine assed tattooed bad boys that I want more of.

About the Author
I’m supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I’m an natural redhead even though I haven’t seen my real hair color in years, I’m a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I’ve been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that.
I love to write, love to read and all I’m interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something.
