Pierce. He's every woman's fantasy.
Pity he's not interested in women.
Fierce loyalty has meant his own needs have often taken a
back seat, until he can’t ignore them any longer. Kissing his playboy
bachelor-lifestyle goodbye, he’s ready to give himself to the one.
The only problem is his dream man isn’t so sure.
Done with playing it safe, Pierce goes all out to prove that
the love they have for each other isn’t wrong; in fact, nothing has been more
right.
But when the object of your affection isn’t so easily
convinced, how much of yourself are you willing to compromise for true love?
The fear of falling in love and being rejected, that fear
can bring a man to his knees.
It’s not just a broken heart that’s at stake.
What I wouldn’t do to be a gay man if a chance at Pierce came
my way. He has a dominant personality,
he knows what he wants and even when it may hurt to walk away he will when he
knows what is best for him. We first
meet Pierce in book one, Harbour, and
while you don’t need to read the first book, I highly recommend that you do so
you get a better picture of what is occurring because they basically take place
during the same time.
I knew when we first met Pierce that there would be so much
more to him deep inside. I was hooked
from the start and didn’t put it down until I was finished. It pulled at my heart especially when Pierce’s
heart is broken by his dream guy. I
wanted to beat the hell out of him for walking away from Pierce and not being
man enough to just say fuck it and follow his real feelings, not the ones he
has to show for others. Pierce in
typical guy fashion tries to moves on, but quickly finds that no one else can
replace his dream man.
I truly hope that we will see more of Pierce in the future
books because I have claimed him as my gay book boyfriend. I hadn’t previously read anything by Penelope
Louleas prior to reading Harbour in
preparation for Pierce, and I will be
adding her to my list of authors to watch out for because I want more of this
series sooner rather than later.
