Review: Claimed in Canada by Christine Edwards

There are all kinds of people in this world. Some good. Some bad. Violet had the opportunity to meet both. Two men are vying for Violet’s attentions. One of them is good, one of them is not.

Damon and Luke are at two ends of the spectrum. Luke is a blue-collar worker. He’s a logger and works with hands all day. He’s rough around the edges and a Dom. Then there’s Damon. He’s polished, a surgeon and seems like a Dom. Violet is extremely attracted to both of them.

Violet was great. She’s professional, independent and not afraid to speak her mind. She’s also a submissive. She doesn’t know it until she meets Luke.

Luke was intriguing. He’s gruff, hot, and 100% Dominant. He has a soft, playful side that complemented his gruff and domineering side. However, I found myself frustrated with him at times. Violet was new to the D/s world and he seemed like at times he expected her to know and understand what to do without much instruction. He wasn’t always clear with his instructions to Violet. Now, this being said, it just makes him more lovable because he’s not perfect. He has flaws.

Damon made a great bad guy. He was the perfect wolf in sheep’s clothing. He came across polished and professional when he was really just a sadistic ass.

The romance and scenes between Luke and Violet were hot. He’s definitely a man who knows what he wants and goes after it. Violet trusted a bit easily, but then so did I at her age.

The ending worked really well. It wasn’t an easy road for them and it shouldn’t have been. After what Violet went through, she would have some issues to work through and she took the time to do that. Luke didn’t give up on her but he also tried to giver her space to work through it. He was understanding and everything she needed.
