Review: Deliver Me From Temptation by Tes Hilaire

Deliver Me From Temptation is fast paced and packed with action, the supernatural, twists and turns, and romance.  I could not put it down for fear of missing something!

The Paladin, descendants of angels, are here to protect us.  They fight for our souls.  These brave warriors fight in His honor against demons and every supernatural baddy that preys on humanity.

Logan Calhoun is next in line to head these fierce warriors.  Not really seeing eye to eye with his father, the last thing he needs is to find his perfect match in a fragile and very mortal human; which is exactly what he does.

Jessica Waters, however, doesn’t have time for romance or love, not when there is criminal scum walking the earth that she could be locking up.  She’s a devoted, somewhat obsessed police detective.  Her sister was the victim of a hideous crime years before.  Her anger for the lowlifes of the world fuel her.  If she’s not careful though, the darkness will consume her.

This is the second installment in the Paladin Warriors series.  I was hooked from the start.  Jessica is a kickass, no nonsense, heroine.  She doesn’t back down.  Her strength is also her weakness.  She doesn’t let anyone get through the armor she’s built around herself.  Logan gets under her skin.  She fights the attraction; as does he.  What life could they have?  He’s immortal and she will grow old and die.  Her current case puts her in the path of Logan’s world.  She’s been targeted by the demons.  He’ll risk it all to save her, but can she be saved?...You gotta read it to find out.
